VITEEE 2018 Toppers
Kalash Gupta, a student of, Delhi state has secured the first rank in the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2018 which was held from April 4 to 16 in 124 selected cities across India, as well as Dubai, Kuwait, Muscat and Qatar. The entrance exam was held for admission to the various B.Tech programmes offered by VIT at its Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal & Amaravati (AP).
VITEEE 2018 results were declared on April 27. The declaration of the exam results was delayed by two days. Earlier, the results for VITEEE were to be out on April 25.
Sarikonda Ananda Ramarao from Telangana has bagged the second place while Anirudh Panigrahi from Odhisha has secured the third rank in VITEEE 2018. Take a look at the list of Top 10 VITEEE 2018 toppers below:

According to latest information, around 2,12,000 candidates registered for VITEEE 2018. Counselling for candidates, who obtained ranks upto 8,000 would be held on May 9
and counseling for ranks 8001 to 14,000 would be held on May 10 while for those who secured ranks from 14001 to 20000 will be held on May 11. VITEEE 2018 counselling would be held simultaneously in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amaravati (AP). Check VITEEE 2018 important dates here.
Under the G V School Development Programme central and State board toppers would be given 100 percent fee waiver for all the four years. Candidates with ranks upto 50 would be given 75% tuition fee waiver, Rank 51 to 100 would be given 50% tuition fee waiver and Rank 101 to 1000 would be given 25 % tuition fee waiver.

Competition for VIT Vellore CSE branch is really high. Safe VITEEE rank required for CSE is within 1500 to 1700. However, if your rank is more than, then you can opt for CSE with specialisation branches available at VIT Vellore.

The difficulty level of VITEEE aptitude questions mainly ranges from easy to moderate. Questions are mostly asked on basic logical reasoning, including series completion, blood relations, directions, etc.

No, VITEEE is conducted online at designated exam centres issued by the authorities. There is no chance of attempting VIT exam from home. Candidates have to register, book slot, download admit card and appear for the entrance test on the chosen date and time.

VIT group of institutions has 4 campuses in total - Vellore is the main campus, followed by Chennai, Andhra Pradesh (Amravati), and Bhopal. Vellore and Chennai campuses are the most chosen by students due to their academics, rankings, placements and campus infrastructure.

Rough sheets will be provided inside the VITEEE exam hall. Candidates will have to write their name, roll number and other details before using the rough pad. However, virtual and physical calculators are strictly not allowed during the exam. Candidates will have to do calculations manually.
