HPCET 2025 seat allotment result date for Round 1 has been postponed. The authorities will announce the new online HPCET 2025 counselling dates soon. Candidates will have to log in at himtu.ac.in using the required credentials to access the HPCET seat allotment 2025. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's HPCET 2025 rank, preferences, category and seat availability. For Round 1 of HPCET 2025 counselling, JEE Main scores will also be considered. Once allotted, the candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date; otherwise, their allotment will be cancelled. Three rounds of HPCET counselling 2025 are being held. During the HPCET counselling process, the candidates had to register, fill out the form, upload documents and pay the fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. HPCET 2025 Counselling Process

HPCET 2025 counselling is being held for all qualified candidates. The detailed steps for HPCET counselling 2025 can be checked below.

  • Registration: Candidates had to complete the counselling registration to participate in the process. For registration, the candidates had to use their basic details. Next, they had to fill out the required personal, academic and contact details.
  • Uploading of Documents: After registration, the candidates had to upload their passport-size photograph and signature. The file size of the scanned images had to be less than 50KB (photograph) and 30KB (signature). Both images had to be in jpg/jpeg format.
  • Payment of Fee: Candidates who do not have a valid HPCET 2025 score had to pay the non-refundable HPCET 2025 counselling fee of INR 1600 (General/Economically Weaker Section/OBC Category) or INR 800 (SC/ST and BPL/IRDP). The fee had to be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card.
  • Choice Filling: Next, the candidates were required to select their choice of colleges and courses. It was important to carefully select in the order of preference, as it was considered during the allotment.
  • Seat allotment: The allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank and preferences. The allotment result will be released online.
  • Confirmation of Admission: Finally, the candidates will have to confirm their admission by reporting to their allotted college, verifying their documents and paying the tuition fee.

Q:   Will the HPCET seat allotment result be available online?
A: 

HPCET seat allotment result is declared online. Registered candidates will be able to check their HPCET seat allotment by logging in using the required credentials. Allotment of seats will be done as per their HPCET ranks, and preferences. The selected candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date, otherwise their allotment will be cancelled. For Round 1, JEE Main scores will also be considered for allotment.

Q:   What is the HPCET counselling fee?

During the HPCET counselling session, the candidates will have to pay the required fee. However, HPCET qualified do not need to pay the counselling fee. Only those candidates who do not have a valid HPCET 2024 score will be required to make the payment to participate in the counselling and admission process. General/Economically Weaker Section/OBC category will have to pay INR 1,600 and reserved category i.e, SC/ST/BPL/IRDP category candidates will have to pay INR 800 online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card.

The authorities will prepare the HPCET 2025 cutoff to select candidates for admission into the participating institutes. Those candidates who meet the HPCET cutoff will have higher chances of admission. HPCET 2025 Counselling - Important Points

  • If the candidates are unable to submit all of the required documents before the final date or fail to satisfy the eligibility requirements before the final date, then their HPCET 2025 seat allotment will be cancelled.
  • All the shortlisted candidates who paid the requisite fees were offered admission in engineering courses (BTech or BE) in the colleges of the Himachal Pradesh University. 
  • In the HPCET counselling process, the candidates are called accordingly based on their positions on the merit list.

Q:   I have a HPCET score. Do I need to pay the counselling fee?
A: 

Candidates who have a valid HPCET score do not have to pay the counselling fee. They are eligible to register and fill out their choice of colleges and courses in the order of preference, without paying the fee. Only those candidates who are applying with their JEE Main/12th standard qualifying exam scores will have to pay the counselling fee (INR 1,600 for General and INR 800 for Reserved Category).
