What is Amrita CAT?

Amrita Common Aptitude Test (Amrita CAT) is a national-level management entrance exam conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for admission to MBA programmes offered at Amrita School of Business at Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Kochi campuses. Eligible students who wish to study MBA at Amrita School of Business can also avail up to 100 per cent scholarships.

Candidates who have compeleted graduation with at least 50% aggregate from recognised board can apply for Amrita CAT. Students should have original copies of academic marksheets and pass certificates.

Q:   How much time is needed for ACAT preparation?
A: 

The amount of time required for ACAT or Amrita MBA Entrance Exam preparation can be different according to the existing knowledge, knowing the exam pattern, and student's ability to understand the concepts being tested. Generally, students spend two to six months preparing for the ACAT exam. The syllabus of the ACAT exam is not very difficult. But, one also has to spend ample of time in practice sessions and mocks to be able to master all types of ACAT questions - easy, moderate and tough.As a rough guideline, if the student has a solid base in the relevant subjects and can dedicate three to four hours per day to your ACAT preparation, a two to three month preparation period may be sufficient.

Q:   Will the ACAT also be conducted in an offline mode?
A: 

The ACAT exam is conducted in a CBT test mode across as many as 40 test cities in the country. The exam is conducted for admission to the MBA programme offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. There is no provision of the ACAT exam being conducted offline. Students must visit the exam centre to take the exam online.

Candidates can take the Amrita CAT mock test from the official website of Amrita University. They can follow the steps mentioned below to know how to take the ACAT mock test:

  • Visit the official website of Amrita Business School
  • Click on the registration link for Amrita CAT mock test
  • Click on the 'Register Here' button
  • Enter the required details such as the name of the candidate, email Id, mobile number, city, etc. 
  • Click on the 'Register' button
  • After successful registration, candidates will be able to login using their login credentials and they can take the exam on the scheduled date and time as displayed.

Amrita CAT 2026 Eligibility & Application

The eligibility criteria for Amrita CAT 2026 is as follows:

  • The student must hold a bachelors degree from a recognised institute.
  • The student must have secured at least 50 per cent aggregate in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation. 
  • The student in the final year of graduation could also apply, subject to completion of their exam, if any,
  • Students having a valid test score of CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ GRE can apply with the test registration number.
  • Department of Management, Kochi and Amritapuri (Kollam) campuses accept valid KMAT scores.
  • Also, students applying for MBA-MS at Bengaluru need to have a minimum IBT-TOEFL score of 79 or an IELTS score of 6.5 with an individual category score of 6 or a PTE score of 55 with an individual category score of 50.
  • Students with work experience will be preferred.

  • Students need to generate a User ID and password
  • User ID and password will also be sent to the student on the registered email and SMS

  • Upload documents and pay registration fee through a Credit Card or Debit Card or Net Banking
  • Application fee for Amrita CAT 2026 is INR 1880, including GST.
  • The fee cannot be paid offline
