NEET PG 2025 branchwise cutoff will be available only after medical counselling committee (MCC) completes various round of counselling. However, the branchwise expected cutoff for NEET PG 2025 has been provided below based on reviews and analysis from different sources. The cutoff of particular branch depends upon a number of factors including availability of seats, number of candidates, difficulty level of exam etc. Some of the top branches for NEET PG 2025 include radiodiagnosis, general medicine, Obstetrics and gynaecology, general surgery etc. It must be noted candidates have to score the minimum NEET PG 2025 cutoff to qualify for NEET PG 2025 exam. NEET PG 2025 cutoff score has dropped this year in comparison to last few years. NBE announced NEET PG 2025 result on August 19, 2025 along with cutoff scores.

Four rounds of NEET PG 2025 counselling will be held for seat allotment. Top rankers usually get seat in round-1 counselling. MCC conducts counseling for allotment of 50% AIQ seats while for rest 50% seats, respective state authorities conduct counselling. Q:   Who releases cut off for NEET PG?
A: 

National Board of Examinations (NBE) releases cut off for NEET PG. It must be noted the cut off is releases along with NEET PG result. Candidates have to score minimum cut off to qualify for the exam. The minimum cut off is different for different category. For the general category, the minimum qualifying cut off is 50 percentile marks while for SC/ST, the qualifying cut off is 40. The cut off depends on a number of factors including the difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates appeared etc.

Q:   What is NEET PG 2025 cut off score for SC/ST category?
A: 

NEET PG 2025 cut off has been reduced in comparision to last few year cut off. The cut off is the minimum marks required to qualify for the exam in that particular caregory. Only candidates who score the minimum marks can participate in seat allocation process. The table given below contains the cut off for each category:

Yes. MCC has reduced NEET PG 2025 cutoff percentile as well as score for each category. NEET PG 2025 percentile has bene reduced by 7th percentile for general category and 0th percentile for SC/ST category. For general category revised cutoff score is 103.

Q:   Why does MCC reduce NEET PG cutoff?

MCC reduces NEET PG cutoff to fill vacant seats remain after starting two rounds. It is being said students who score top rank wish to get top branches and colleges and they do get usually in round-1 and round-2 NEET PG counselling. Once these coveted seats get filled, students have least chance to get them in remaining rounds. That is reason cutoff is reduced to encourage and make more students elligible for NEET PG counselling.

Yes. NBE reduces NEET PG cut off in case seats remain vacant after counseling rounds. Reducation of cut off makes more number of candidates eligible to participate in the counselling who were earlier ineligible due to low score. Yes, NEET PG city intimation slip was released on August 11, 2026. Candidates can check the city intimation slip through login portal. They can know the exam city name through the NEET PG city intimation slip.

NBEMS will release the NEET PG admit card 2026 on August 24, 2026. Candidates will be informed regarding the availability of the NEET PG hall ticket through email / SMS. They will have to provide the login details to access the admit card online.

Yes, for postgraduate medical courses like MD and MS, colleges accept NEET PG scores. For super-specialty courses, NEET SS is required. MBBS admission, however, is based only on NEET UG.

No. NEET-PG is mandatory for all MD admissions in India across all colleges, government, private, deemed, and central institutions. There is no alternative entrance exam or direct admission route for MD. Even foreign nationals of Indian origin need to qualify in the relevant entrance process.
