Once downloaded, students must check for any discrepancy in details in the admit card. If found, it must be reported to the board for immediate correction.
Along with the admit card, CBSE also issued certain guidelines that must be followed by all students. These have been listed below:
CBSE board exam OMR filling guidelines
Here are the OMR filling guidelines that need to be followed by CBSE board exam students:
- Details of the student will be pre-filled in the OMR sheet for the CBSE board exams
- Only blue or black ball point pens can be used to fill all the information on the OMR sheet and for giving responses
- Using a pencil on the OMR sheet is prohibited and if a student is found doing the same, action will be taken against them for using unfair means.
- Students need to write the question paper code in the upper right corner in space provided for the same. The question paper code has to be copied from the question paper provided to them at the exam hall.
- In the space provided in the bottom of the OMR sheet, students need to write in their own hand โI confirm that all particulars given above are correct.โ Then they need to put their signature in running hand.
- Schools will need to download the OMR sheet in advance as per the schedule given in the guidelines (CBSE will provide the same shortly).
- The Centre Superintendent will need to keep the OMR sheets under lock and key after downloading them. They will be used only on the day of the CBSE board exams after affixing the facsimile stamp of the Centre Superintendent.
Hereโs how to mark answers in the OMR sheet
- Irrespective of the total number of questions on the CBSE question papers, each OMR sheet has space for answering 60 questions. Students need to block in their answers in a serial order as per the number of questions on the question paper.
- Answers given after the maximum question number will not be evaluated. So, if there are 45 questions in a question paper and the students changes the space for Q 46 to Q 45 on the OMR sheet and blocks in their answer, it will not be evaluated.
- In front of each question on the OMR sheet, four circles are given for given responses, marked as (a), (b), (c), and (d). Students need to darken the circle of their choice as per their answer using a pen.
- In case a student is not attempting any question, they need to darken the fifth circle which is placed after the box and has the question number inside it.
- Students should darken a circle only after they are sure of the answer. After that, they should write their correct choice of answer number in the box beside each question only when they are absolutely sure of their answer. The box is provided so that in case students make any mistake in darkening the circle, they can write the correct answer option in the box.
- The box cannot go blank. They have to write the answer they selected inside the box even if they are fully satisfied with the circle they darkened. Students have to reply both through the circle and in the box.
- The reply written in the box will be treated as final
- If the box is empty and the response is marked in the circle, the question will be considered unattempted by the student.
- If the box has a written response and the circles are not marked, the question will be considered attempted by the student.
- If all the three 4 circles, box, 5th circle are left blank, the question will be considered unattempted by the student.
