Bihar UGEAC Counselling 2026: Date, Registration, Choice Filling, Seat Allotment, Document Verification

Bihar UGEAC is the counselling for admission to BE/BTech courses in Government Engineering Colleges of Bihar, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Womens Institute of Technology, Exalt College of Engineering & Technology, and Buddha Institute of Technology.

Bihar Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling (UGEAC) is based on JEE Main score. The counselling process includes online registration with JEE Main scores, release of merit list, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification and admission to the allotted college. The counselling process is conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB).

Educational Eligibility Criteria

• Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship.
• Agriculture stream (for Agriculture Engineering) obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subject taken together.

OR

• Passed minimum 3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the first year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. (The Universities will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc, for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to prepare Level playing field and desired learning outcomes of the programme).

OR

• Passed D.voc stream in the same or allied sector.

Age Limit

There is no age limit. Candidates can apply for Bihar UGEAC 2026 counselling without any upper or lower age limit restrictions.

Nationality

• Indian nationals can apply.
• Those candidates are eligible whose parents are:
• permanent residents of the state of Bihar, or
• from other states but are employed under the government of Bihar, or
• residing in the state for a set duration of time as per the norms, or
• are employed in PSUs located in the state of Bihar.

• Registration for Bihar UGEAC: Candidates have to first register with their JEE Main 2026 scores.
• Publication of Merit List: Based on the JEE Main scores of the registered candidates a merit list is published.
• Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates whose names appear in the merit list have to complete the choice filling as per the schedule. There are 2 rounds of choice filling.
• Seat Allotment result: Based on the choices filled by the candidates and their rank in the UGEAC merit list, seats are allotted. There are 2 rounds of seat allotment.
• Download the allotment order: The candidates who are allotted seats have downloaded the allotment order.
• Reporting at the centre and document verification: With the downloaded allotment order, candidates have to visit the reporting centre and get their documents verified.

The candidates have to register for the Bihar UGEAC 2026 counselling process with their JEE Main 2026 scores. Candidates who do not have JEE Main scores can also apply with BCECE scores. The vacant seats remaining after the counselling process based on JEE Main scores will be filled based on BCECE 2026 scores.

1) Registration: It is the first step of applying for UGEAC counselling. To register, candidates have to open the official website of UGEAC 2026 and apply using JEE Main 2026 application number. Online verification will be done instantly of NTA JEE details submitted by the candidates. After the verification, candidates can proceed with filling the details.

2) Fill in personal information in the application form: After successful registration and activating the account, the candidate should again "Sign in" to his account and thereafter complete the required entries regarding personal information on the computer screen. On completing this stage, candidates are provided with their UGEAC-ID. Candidates have to note the same down carefully.

3) Upload photo and signature: After entering the personal information, the candidate should upload their passport-size photograph and full signature in Hindi and English (Not in capital letters) after duly scanning the same.

4) Enter educational details: Candidates should enter their educational information without any errors.

5) Preview the application form: After entering educational information, the candidate must verify all the information. If any information is found wrong, then the candidate should click the "Back to Edit" button and make the required corrections. 

6) Pay the counselling fee: Candidates should click the "Proceed to Payment" button and complete the payment procedure according to the instructions that appear on the computer screen regarding payment of the counselling Fee. The counselling fee can be paid online using a Credit Card / Debit Card / Net banking/ UPI.

7) Download Part A and Part B of the form: After successful payment of the counselling fee, the candidate must download a Hard Copy (Part A & and Part B) of the online submitted Application Form and keep the same safely in his possession because it contains all information given by the candidate and the UGEAC-ID made available by the Board for further use during counselling.

Bihar UGEAC 2026 Counselling Fee

The counselling authority will release mrit list of UGEAC 2026 based on the JEE Main 2026 scores submitted by the candidates while registering for UGEAC counselling. The allotment of seats in the participating colleges and courses will be based on the ranks of the candidates in the UGEAC 2026 rank card. BCECEB will publish the Bihar UGEAC rank card 2026 on the official website. The candidates who will be issued the rank card of UGEAC 2026 will be able to participate in the choice-filling process.

Candidates have to login to the UGEAC counselling portal and fill in the choices of their institutions and branches in order of preference. Candidates can edit the order of their choices as many times as they want before the last date. Before the choice filling date ends, candidates have to lock their choices. If they don't lock their choice before the last date, then the available order will be deemed final and will be locked. Once the choices are locked, no changes can be made in the order of the choices.

The final choices in order of preference will be sent to the email IDs of the candidates, and they must also take the printout of the choices after final submission.
