NEET PG 2026 Counselling Schedule (OUT): Registration & Choice Filling (Started), Seat Matrix & Process

Candidates who qualify NEET PG exam with minimum cutoff marks as decided by NBE will be eligible to participate in the counselling. The qualifying cut off varies as per the category. To participate in NEET PG 2025 counselling, candidates will have to register on the official website, mcc. Nic. In. They also have to fill choice for college and course and lock them in the given deadline. Seat allotment is done based on different factors such as choice declared, availability of seats in particular college and course, NEET PG rank etc.

No. MCC will commence Round 1 NEET PG counselling from October 12, 2026. If there are any changes to the counselling date, candidates can check it online at mcc.nic.in. Round 3 NEET PG counselling 2026 registration date is November 26, 2026.

MCC will start registration for the stray round NEET PG 2026 counselling online. Registration for stray round will be accepted online from December 16, 2026. Choices for Round 3 NEET PG counselling 2026 will be declared on December 4, 2026.

The duration of NEET PG counselling depends on number of vacant seats after each round. Usually, the counselling process goes on for over two months time. Each round of NEET PG counselling takes around 15-20 days time starting from registration to reporting. Initial rounds takes a bit more time than last rounds. The counselling of NEET PG is an online process. Thus, candidates need not to go anywhere for the counselling process. However, candidates do need to report to the institute allocated to them for confirmation of their admission. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is conducting NEET PG 2026 counselling for 50% All India Quota Seats. Respective state authorities conduct conselling for rest 50% seats. Apart from registration, NEET PG counselling comprises steps such as choice filling, seat processing, seat allotment result, and reporting. Choices have to be saved and locked in the deadline other they get locked automatically. 

Candidates need to enter all those details which were submitted while submitting NEET PG application form. Some information can be filled from admit card issued before exam. This is the reason candidates are advised to save copy of application form and admit card. Both these documents are needed at various stsges of admission process for NEET PG exam. 

A total of 950 state quota seats 403 management quota seats were available for which candidates compete to seek admission in MD institutes in Andhra Pradesh. Candidates must note that this number is based on last year's data. This year, the number may undergo change. 

Last year, Assam NEET PG counselling was held for allocation of around 652 MD/MS and Diploma seats. This year, the number of seats may vary. The actual number will be known once DME Assam releass the seat matrix. Assam NEET PG counselling 2025 dates and schedule were announced in September 2025.

Candidates can take a printout of the choices filled by them by clicking on "Print Lock Choice" available on the left-hand side of the page. This option will available to the candidates after the specified time of the last date of choice locking. It must be noted candidates can declare n number of choices for seat allotment. Candidates are advised to lock the choices otherwise it will be locked automatically after the due date and no change can be done after the same. Seats will be allotted based on the choices declared, seats availability in particular course and college, and other factors.

If you opt to participate in the second round of NEET PG and you are allotted seat in that round, only in that case, your candidature for round-1 gets cancelled. If you will not be allotted seat in round-2, previously allotted seats in round-1 will not be cancelled. MCC conducts a total of 4 rounds of NEET PG counselling for seat allocation. 

Qualifying cut off vary as per the category. Candidates of unreserved category have to score little more than their counterparts of reserved category to qualify for NEET PG exam. Check the categorywise qualifying cut off in the table given below:

No, up-gradation is not allowed once a candidate accepts the seat allotted in round 2 NEET PG counselling and joins the institute. Upgradation is only allowed in round-1 when candidates who have opted for upgradation after participation in the next round of NEET PG counselling. Candidates have to register on the official website and declare choices for seat allotment. A total of 4 rounds of NEET PG counselling will be held for seat allotment.

NEET PG counselling is conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling is held online for seat allotment. The scorecard contains details such as roll number of candidate, score, All India Rank, category rank, number of correct answers and incorrect onesetc. The scorecard is needed at various stages of admission process including seat allotment.

MCC reduces NEET PG cutoff to fill vacant seats remain after starting two rounds. It is being said students who score top rank wish to get top branches and colleges and they do get usually in round-1 and round-2 NEET PG counselling. Once these coveted seats get filled, students have least chance to get them in remaining rounds. That is reason cutoff is reduced to encourage and make more students elligible for NEET PG counselling.

Yes. MCC has reduced NEET PG 2025 cutoff percentile as well as score for each category. NEET PG 2025 percentile has bene reduced by 7th percentile for general category and 0th percentile for SC/ST category. For general category revised cutoff score is 103.

Yes. MCC announced the round-3 NEET PG 2025 counselling dates and schedule on January 30, 2026. Registration for round-3 had to be done till January 31, 2026. Choice filing for round-3 had to be done till February 2, 2026.
