MCC revised NEET PG 2025 cutoff for each category to make more students elligible for seat allotment. Check revised cutoff for NEET PG 2025 given below:

To participate in the counselling for NEET PG 2025 a candidate must score more than or equal to the qualifying cutoffs released by MCC. Cutoff is also revised at times to fill vacant seats. Candidates can refer to the table below for NEET PG 2025 original cutoff.

NEET PG counselling is conducted for admission to 50% All India Quota seats. MCC, the counselling body will conduct four rounds of counselling for seat allotment. The respective State authorities will conduct counselling for the remaining 50% AIQ seats. The counselling process starts with online registrations and ends with candidates reporting to the allotted institute with all the documents. Seats are allotted based on choice filled, availability of seats in particular institute, reservation criteria and other factors. Seat allotment result will be released separately for every round. MCC has already concluded round-1, round-2 and round-3 counselling. Round-3 NEET PG 2025 counselling was concluded on February 13, 2026. Stray round is underprocess. MCC will upload seat allotment result in PDF format.

Registration

Candidates who wish to participate in the counselling for NEET PG 2025 have to register on the official website of MCC. New registrations are accepted before each round. It must be noted those who already have registered in prevcious counselling round do not need to register for the second time.

Process of registration for NEET PG 2025:

• Go to the official website on MCC-mcc.nic.in
• Click on ‘PG Medical Counselling’
• Register using a valid email ID and mobile number
• Note down the login credentials
• Login again to fill the application form
• Enter personal/academic details
• Check the form before final submission

• To participate in the counselling of NEET PG 2025, a candidate needs to pay the registration fee
• The registration fee for NEET PG 2025 counselling has to be paid online (Net banking/credit card/debit card)
• There are two components of the registration fee, refundable and non-refundable

Choice filling

Students have to choose college and course option from the list provided by MCC. One can schoose as many options as he/she wants. Options can be added or deleted from the list. 

Candidates now have to choose the desired course and colleges from the list given on MCC. Candidates can choose as many options as they want.  Options can be added or deleted from the list. Candidates are advised to check the choices filled before submitting them as the seat allocation will be done on the basis of the same. Candidates should lock the choice otherwise it will be automatically locked after the due date. Also, they must keep a copy of the choices filled for future use.

How to fill the choice for NEET PG seat allotment 2025

• Go to the MCC website and log in through registration credentials
• Fill the choice of college and course for NEET PG seat allotment 2025
• Click on ‘+’ button to add a new choice
• For rearranging the order of choice filled, just drag it to the desired position
• Click on ‘save and next’ to lock the final choices as desired by candidates

Seat allotment Result

MCC releases the result of NEET PG counselling in the form of a seat allotment list. The result PDF comprises details of the candidate, rank secured, the course or the institute allotted to her/him, and remarks. After the registration process for the first round for NEET PG counselling, MCC will start seat allotment processing. Seats will be allocated based on the options filled by the candidates, their all India ranks, reservation criteria, availability of seats and other aspects. MCC will upload the NEET PG seat allotment list on its official website in PDF format. Candidates who make it to the list can download their seat allotment letter by logging into the registered account on the official website.

Reporting

After seat allotment, students have to report for document verification. They must carry all their certificates in original along with a self-attested copy. Candidates must pay the required fee to secure their seats during the counselling process. List of documents that a candidate must carry to the allocated institute is given below.

Those allotted seats have to be present physically for document verification in order to confirm the allocated seat. If a candidate doesn't report, then his/her their candidature will be forfeited.

Seat Matrix

NEET PG seat matrix for counsleling means total number of seats which will be allotted under each speciality course. The seat matrix also defines the number of seats that are available for a particular category of candidates. It will be released before each round for NEET PG counselling 2024. Referring to the NEET PG seat matrix 2025 before filling the options in the preference form will help candidates determine the chances of getting the desired speciality with their score. 

NEET PG 2025 Reservation

The final seat allocation will be done considering the reservation criteria for NEET PG 2025 exam. Candidates will get 27 per cent OBC quota and 10 per cent EWS quota for admission through 50 per cent All India Quota seats. These candidates will have to produce relevant certificates to take the benefit of the NEET PG 2025 reservation criteria while seeking admission.

As mentioned above, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for admissions to the 50% AIQ seats of government, government-aided and private colleges in India. The remaining 50% of these colleges are also filled using the scores of NEET PG but the counselling for these seats is conducted by the respective state government. NEET PG Counselling for DNB Seats

As DNB-CET was scrapped, admission to the post-MBBS DNB broad speciality courses is now based on the performance of a candidate in NEET PG. The counselling for DNB courses is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). To apply for NEET PG counselling for admission to DNB courses, a candidate needs to register on the official website of NBE.

Once seats are allotted in round-1, students have to select out of below given options to proceed for next round of NEET PG seat allotment.

Round 1 Counselling: Options to Choose

Option 1: This is termed as 'free exit'. The seat allotted to a particular candidate during NEET PG counselling 2025 round one gets automatically cancelled if he/she don't report to the allotted institute within the given duration of time.

Option 2: The candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted to him/her in round one of NEET PG 2025 counselling and reports to the allocated colleges within the given timeframe to secure the seat.

Option 3: Those who are not satisfied with the allotted seat in the first round can opt for the up-gradation of seats and participate in the next round of counselling. If a seat is not upgraded in the second round of NEET PG 2025 counselling, the seat allotted in the first round will be retained.

NEET PG 2025 Round-2 Counselling

The process for NEET PG second round counselling 2025 is similar to that of the first round. In this round, new candidates who didn't participate in the first round will have to register and pay the registration fee. Those who have already registered during round one, don't need to register again. But the choice filling is mandatory to every candidate irrespective of the fact whether they declare the choice in the first round of NEET PG 2025 counselling. 

MCC announced round-2 NEET PG 2025 seat allotment result on December 16, 2025. Result was uploaded at mcc.nic.in in PDF format, comprising details such as roll number, allotted college, course, category, rank etc. Total 35, 023 students were allotted seats in round-2 counselling. 

Who can participate in NEET PG 2025 round two counselling?

• Those who didn't get any seat in NEET PG counselling 2025 round one
• Seat allotted in round one but it got cancelled in the physical document verification process
• If a candidate wants to upgrade his allotted seat in the NEET PG round one counselling 2025
• Candidates who choose 'free exit' option or did not participate in round one counselling.

NEET PG 2025 Round-3 counselling

NEET PG 2025 counselling round-3 seat alloytment has been concluded except reporting. Last adte for round-3 reporting is February 11, 2026. Candidates who exited in counselling rounds one and two by not reporting to the college allotted to them will have to register for the NEET PG round-3 counselling 2025. Those who didn't get any seat in either round one or two of NEET PG counselling 2025, don't need to register again in this round. All the candidates will have to fill fresh choices of colleges/courses in this round for the seat allotment process. Seat allotment result for the mop-up round was published on the official website.

NEET PG 2025 Online Stray Vacancy Round Counselling

This is the fourth and tentatively the last round of NEET PG Counselling. Only those students who did not take admission in any of the allotted seats, be it in the AIQ or State Quota seat offers, or those who have not been allotted a seat so far, will be eligible to participate in this round. In case seats remain vacant after this round, then MCC will conduct additional rounds of counselling or admission process.

MCC releases NEET PG seat allotment result 2025 PDF online. Students who register and declare choices in given deadline are included in seat allotment result. A separate result PDF is released for each round of NEET PG 2025 counselling. Final seat allotment result PDF for round-3 was  announced on February 6, 2026.
