From next year, it will be the best, like the old days. SRM could be the best part of life.
Placements: Now, placement companies require skills, but the quality of studies is currently not very good. However, the college is trying to change the teaching methods. Many new labs are engaged so that students can benefit. Around 90% of students got placed last year. The highest package is 15 LPA. The top recruiters are Siemens and GRE. The top role is Assistant Manager with a starting package of 12 LPA. Core company internships are for 13 students.
Infrastructure: The hostel building has had no complaints over the years. Many new hostels are constructed to manage the student population.
Faculty: The curriculum at SRM is the best and top-notch. Exams are based on internals and the knowledge of students. Faculty is the best in class. Exams are conducted for 75 marks and then converted to 40 marks. The semester is not too difficult. If we study 2 hours the day before the exam, it's enough to do well. Teachers are awesome for me, and even my friends from other departments say the same. The course template is best in class at SRM. The SRM course has 60 marks for internals and 40 for externals. The 60 internal marks can include your choice of 2 CTs or 3 CTs and assignments. You have the best opportunities to excel in exams and placements.
Other: To be frank, SRM KTR is a little bit crowded as many admissions happen each year. Campus life is the best with no restrictions on dress code and chair style, but torn jeans are not allowed.

Good placements, good infrastructure and fantastic faculty.
Placements: SRM University Katangalathur offers very good infrastructure, placements, and internships. Almost every student gets placed, with the lowest package being INR 4,00,000 for BTech EEE and the highest being INR 2,500,000. TCS, Infosys, and other companies participate in the placements. More than 50% of the students get internships in foreign companies.
Infrastructure: SRM Katangalathur has plenty of facilities, including Wi-Fi 6 routers, well-equipped labs, classrooms with smart boards, and a library with lakhs of books. The hostels are very good, and the common bathrooms are neat. However, the mess food is not that great, although the canteen food is better. The medical facilities are top-notch, and sports facilities are well developed.
Faculty: The teachers here are well educated and good at explaining the subjects they teach. The semester exams are not that tough, especially when compared to the exams at Anna University.
Other: I chose this course because everyone else was going into the computer science department, but no one was choosing electrical engineering. However, I believe that electrical engineering has just as much scope for future employment. The events here are well arranged, but the student crowd is a bit much.

Placements: In the first year itself, most students were given opportunities to join various internships. The lowest package was between 4 LPA and 8 LPA, with 78% of my batchmates getting placed through internships. Top roles included Electronic Designer, with many also being placed in IT jobs.
Infrastructure: My department's classrooms are spacious and well-maintained, with good ventilation. The infrastructure is good, and different hostels offer different facilities. I would recommend Senbagam for its spacious rooms. The labs are equipped with better instruments, and the campus is very clean and hygienic.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are highly knowledgeable, and the faculty advisory was supportive throughout the journey. Industrial exposure is decent. The first semester was easy, and after that, it’s up to you to perform well. My course was quite good compared to other courses, and we all had the hope of getting placed by the end of the semester.
Other: This course is excellent as it provides in-depth knowledge about instruments, which is totally worth it. However, some teachers lacked the skills to teach effectively, and there is room for improvement in faculty quality. Campus life is great, and the work-life balance is good.

SRMIST KTR- A Comprehensive Review.
Placements: The highest package in this academic year was 57 LPA, according to the website, whereas the average package was 7.5 LPA. There were many companies that came for recruitment like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Amazon, etc. In my course, many seniors are offered core jobs in various electronic industries.
Infrastructure: On terms of facilities, the college is really great. It has a green campus that is spread across 250 acres. The laboratories are very good, with world-class equipment. Each classroom is under surveillance using cameras and also has a smart board for better understanding of concepts. When it comes to the hostels, singers argue that they're overpriced. But if you move past that, the mess provides really good food for the price you pay. There is also a hospital nearby that just charges 10 rupees per checkup for students. The campus also encourages fitness and good health by providing facilities for sports like badminton, tennis, football and cricket.
Faculty: The faculty of this college is its biggest strength after the environment. They are very helpful but moreover, they are mentors. The course curriculum, I would say, is relevant to some extent; regular examinations and practicals keep the student in touch with the course but it all depends on the student and how one interprets it. The semester exams are not that difficult but if you don't study, they are difficult. The pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I always had a bias towards physics in my school days and hence opted for a core engineering branch, which has way less competition compared to CS, which helps me in a way because I get to study stress-free and focus more on understanding the course rather than trying to be ahead of the flock. SRM also has two annual festivals, AARUSH and MILAN.

Strong academics, vibrant campus life, good placements; needs improvements in hostel and food.
Placements: In SRM EEE, 86% of students got placed with packages from 3.5 LPA to 20 LPA, and the average is 7.5 LPA. The companies are L & T, Siemens, ABB, TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. The general roles are Electrical Engineer, Electronics Designer, and Project Engineer. 50% got internships from Siemens and core MNCs.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are a lot better than anything. It has a large library, Wi-Fi, and AC classrooms. Boys' hostels are good but too old, and the facilities like Wi-Fi are good, but hygienic washrooms and many other things, like the lift not working, actually make it rate 2.5/5.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are highly qualified Ph.D. teachers with years of experience, and the teaching style of some teachers is extremely good, which maintains interest during the class to listen and understand the concepts. However, some teachers are not good. They just read the content from the PPT or the textbook. They have the knowledge, but don't convey or make it interesting while teaching. The course curriculum is perfectly relevant, and they need to make internships important. The semester exams can be difficult, but they are tricky.
Other: The reason I chose EEE at SRM KTR is for the strong core knowledge in their curriculum and placement scope. Best parts include well-equipped labs, diverse events on studies, and standards. Improvement is needed in hostel hygiene and mess food. Campus fests, extracurricular activities, and excellent connectivity create a lively environment, making learning both academically enriching and socially engaging.

For B.Tech Programs offered by the Department of Biotechnology, Department of Genetic Engineering and Department of Biomedical Engineering – Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM / PMB/PCB/PCB or Z (Botany or Zoology). Students who have not studied Mathematics as one of the major subjects in +2 must undertake an additional 4 credit courses in Mathematics during the First Year of B.Tech.
Students who have completed +2 under NIOS must have completed the 10th standard from regular schooling or vice-versa.
Students who have not studied Chemistry should undergo a bridge course in Chemistry in the first year.
Candidate Should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held.

SRM University is a self financing, totally for profit institution. Every thing is a revenue making model. Low quality food is served in hostels so that students will eat junk food at Java Green again owned by goons of the university. It is recently in news for defrauding large number of students to

With just a score of 138/315 it is not possible to get any course at the main campus. So you cannot get EEE also at the main campus but you may get the EEE course in any other campuses of SRM.
