For admission to BTech at IIT BHU, candidates must appear for the JEE Main and paticipate in the JoSAA counselling process. GATE Qualifying Cutoff: It is minimum mark a candidate must score so that he or she is eligible for admission. But this does not mean that a candidate is selected for admission. Admission GATE Cutoffs: It is final opening and closing rank score fixed by participating institutes for selection of candidates. The total fee of tuition for the BTech course at IIT BHU, especially for 4-year courses, is Rs. 8 lakh. The fee part of the BTech course also has different parts too, likewise the Mess Advance Charge, Registration/Enrolment, Campus Services, Medical, etc.
The hostel fee at IIT BHU is INR 300 per semester. This fee does not include electricity charges, Gymkhana, Medical, Amenities and other hostel services. Yes, IIT BHU offers Merit-cum-Means scholarships to 25% undergraduate students. Besides, there are several endowment scholarships offered by the Institute. Some other facilities are also provided to undergraduate students in the form of Institute free studentship, scholarships, reimbursement of mess charges and pocket allowances to the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. All the students (non-sponsored) admitted to M.Tech or MPharm programmes are provided financial assistance equivalent to the Junior Research Fellowships. The institute also offers a large number of Junior/Senior Research Fellowships to students admitted to PhD programmes.

No direct non exam based admission is not possible for B Tech programs at IIT BHU. Admission is based on qualifying for national level entrance exams like JEE Advanced for B Tech and GATE for M Tech followed by counseling processes like JoSAA or COAP.
