BITSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

For admission to different campuses of BITS, candidates must first check the eligibility conditions laid out by the exam conducting authorities. It is so, only students who fulfill the eligibility conditions for BITSAT 2020 will only be allowed to participate in the BITSAT 2020 counselling, seat allotment, and admission process after that. Detailed BITSAT eligibility criteria are given below:

Candidates must have passed their class 12 from a recognized central or state board.

Qualifying Subjects

Candidates must have passed their class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with adequate proficiency in English.

Qualifying Marks

Candidates must pass their class 12 with 75% aggregate score in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Candidates who opted for admission to BPharm must have a 75% aggregate score in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or 60% individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Age Limit

Candidates who have passed their class 12 in 2020 or 2019 will be eligible to appear for BITSAT 2020

Note: BITS, Pilani, also give admissions to board and central board toppers against seats of their choice given that they meet the aforementioned eligibility criteria.

BITSAT 2020 Application Form

The admission process for admission to various campuses of BITS Pilani was started on January 11. Aspirants had to compulsorily register for the entrance test by filling the BITSAT 2020 application form online. The last date to fill the application form was May 11. Candidates had to complete the registration process by filling the application form and then paying the application fee.

The exam conducting authority also assisted candidates in correcting the filled in application form. An application correction window was made available to the candidates for changing certain details in the BITSAT 2020 Application form. Candidates were allowed to edit the application form of BITSAT 2020 from May 15-20. The detailed process to fill the BITSAT 2020 application form is given below:

How to fill BITSAT 2020 application form?

  • Visit the official website of BITS/BITSAT
  • Register for BITSAT 2020 by entering personal, academic and contact details in the required boxes
  • After entering all the details, upload scanned photo and signature in the prescribed format
  • As the last step for registration, pay the application fee either online through credit card/debit card/online banking or in offline mode
  • Candidates should take a printout of the application confirmation page for use in future

BITSAT 2020 Syllabus

Candidates preparing for the entrance test must be aware of the in-detail syllabus of BITSAT 2020. It will help them to have an idea about the topics and concepts from where the questions may be asked in the exam. The BITSAT 2020 syllabus has been released by the exam conducting authorities online. BITSAT 2020 exam will consist of topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Every correct answer will be given 3 marks, while incorrect response will fetch -1 and unattempted questions were given no marks.

BITSAT 2020 Admit Card

The exam conducting authorities has postponed the BITSAT 2020 admit card release date. New dates will be announced soon. The admit card of BITSAT 2020 is a mandatory document for candidates to enter into the examination hall. The BITSAT 2020 hall ticket will carry details like the name of the candidate, centre of examination, date and time of the exam, etc.

BITSAT 2020 Result

BITSAT 2020 result will be released by the exam authorities online at the official website of BITS admissions. The BITSAT result 2020 will be declared in two phases: first, the authorities will declare the score of BITSAT 2020 immediately after the exam in form of correct answers, incorrect answers and candidate’s total score. In the second phase, the authorities will declare the result in the form of iteration which will comprise of the waitlist and admit list on June 20.

BITSAT 2020 Cutoff

BITSAT 2020 cutoffs are the branch-wise and institute-wise qualifying marks that a candidate needs to secure for being considered for admissions to a branch or campus. Students seeking admissions through BITSAT 2020 must score equal to or greater than the cutoff. Soon after the entrance exam gets over, exam authorities will release the branch-wise cutoff. Candidates with marks lower than the cutoff will not be considered for admissions.

BITSAT 2020 Counselling and Seat Allotment

Students appearing for BITSAT 2020 will be given admissions only after counselling and seat allotment process. To be eligible for admissions, candidates will be required to register for BITSAT counselling 2020 by paying the registration fee and selecting their preferences of branches and institutes. BITSAT 2020 seat allotment details will be declared in the form of iteration results after every counselling round gets over. Apart from the allotment result, the authorities will also declare the result of that particular round along with the waitlist of candidates.

Yes, BITS Pilani offer scholarship based on BITSAT scores. This scholarship is offered to 500 BITSAT rankers. Eligible candidates with an annual family income of up to INR 20 Lacs will receive a full tuition scholarship for all four years, subject to maintaining a minimum CGPA of 7.5 at BITS Pilani.

To get admission to the BE course at the BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, students are required to appear in BITSAT. As per previous years' cutoff stats, it has been analysed that the minimum scores are between 230 and 250. But with 250 marks, the chances are less of getting selected.

BITSAT 2026 admit card for session 1 was issued on April 10 at 10:20 PM. The session 2 hall ticket release date and time was May 20 at 5:30 PM.

BITS, Pilani, conducts the BITSAT exam in two shifts. The timings for the morning session are from 9 AM to 12 PM, and others are from 2 PM to 5 PM in the afternoon session. Candidates can select the BITSAT slot timings using the BITSAT slot booking system.

If students forget to book their BITSAT exam slot, then authorities will automatically allot them from available slots. Once slots are allotted, candidates cannot request authorities to change it. Candidates are advised to complete slot booking themselves.
