BITSAT 2021

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, has declared the BITSAT 2021 exam date which was postponed due to the current pandemic situation across the country. The exam will be conducted from August 3 to 9, 2021. BITSAT 2021 slot booking window will be available for candidates from July 17 to 21. Candidates will be allowed to download the BITSAT 2021 hall ticket from July 17 to August 9 only after booking a slot for the exam.

The institute also extended the application deadline. Students could fill the application form until July 7 (5 pm). BITSAT 2021 application forms were made available online by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani on February 23, 2021.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is a computer-based (online) entrance exam conducted by the BITS Pilani for admission to Integrated First Degree programs offered at different campuses located at Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. To be eligible for BITSAT, applicants must qualify for the Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with English as a compulsory subject.

BITSAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

BITS Pilani has released the eligibility criteria for BITSAT 2021. Candidates can check the eligibility conditions as illustrated for last year exam below. According to the criteria, candidates must have passed the qualifying examination (Class 12 or equivalent) with the minimum marks required in the 2021 session or the previous one i.e., 2020. Candidates who fail to fulfil the eligibility criteria will not be allowed to appear for BITSAT 2021. Candidates must ensure to check BITSAT Eligibility 2021 before applying for admissions.

BITSAT 2021 Application Form

BITSAT 2021 application form has been made available online on the official website process. To fill the application form, candidates are required to follow the below-mentioned four major steps:

Register for BITSAT 2021: Enter basic details such as personal information, contact details, Date of Birth, nationality, etc. to register for BITSAT 2021.

Fill BITSAT application form 2021: Candidates should enter personal and academic details to generate a unique application number. Students should also choose the BITSAT exam centres.

Upload required documents: Aspirants will also be required to upload the scanned copies of passport size photographs and signature in the correct format and size as per the specifications prescribed in the brochure. The maximum acceptable size of the images is between 50 to 80 KB in jpg format.

Pay BITSAT application fee: After entering all the details and uploading the documents, students need to pay the BITSAT 2021 application fee. The fee will be different for male, female and NRI candidates. The online application fee can be paid online via credit/debit card or net banking. BITSAT Exam Pattern 2021

BITSAT 2021 will be a 3-hour long computer-based (online) test having 150 multiple-choice questions.  Highlights of the BITSAT Exam Pattern are given in the table below:

BITSAT Slot Booking 2021

BITSAT slot booking 2021 is an online process through which candidates will be able to select the test date and time slot for the exam as per their choice. BITSAT Slot Booking will be offered on a first come first serve basis. In the case of candidates who don’t book a slot for BITSAT, they will be offered slots automatically by the institute.

BITSAT 2021 Admit Card

BITSAT admit card will be made available for download online on the official website. The admit card will include details such as the name of the candidate, photograph and signature, application number, test centre details, test date, test time, date of exam, test slot, and exam instructions. To download BITSAT 2021 admit card, students need to use their application number, date of birth and email ID. In case of any discrepancy in the BITSAT hall ticket, candidates must report the conducting authority immediately for the generation of a new admit card with the correct information

BITSAT Result 2021

BITSAT Result will be released in two parts. First, candidates can check their BITSAT score immediately after the exam will be over. After the exam, the computer screen will automatically display the BITSAT 2021 result in terms of the number of total correct answers and wrong answers along with the scores. Secondly, an admit list and waitlist of iteration will be released.

How to check BITSAT Result 2021?

Candidates can go through the steps below to check the result:

  • Visit the official website of BITS
  • Click on the tab for “Online Result for BITSAT 2021”
  • Enter your name, application number, date of birth and roll no and click on the submit button
  • The online BITSAT scorecard 2021 will appear on the screen
  • Students can download the scorecard for future use

Q. What is the process of filling the BITSAT 2021 application form?

A. BITSAT application form can be filled online only. Candidates will need to register by entering their details, then fill the application form, upload documents and pay the application fee as the last step.

Q. I have completed my Class 12 with 75% aggregate marks but my marks in Physics are 58%, am I eligible to apply for BITSAT 2021?

A. No, unfortunately, you are not eligible for BITSAT 2021. As per the eligibility criteria, candidates must have scored 75% aggregate marks and 60% marks in each subject.

Q. What is BITSAT 2021 application fees?

A. The application fee for BITSAT 2021 is:

Q. What is BITSAT 2021 marking scheme?

A. As per the marking scheme of BITSAT 2021, candidates will be awarded three marks for each right answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. No mark will be deducted for unattempted questions.

Q. What are the sections in BITSAT 2021?

A. As per BITSAT exam pattern 2021, there will be five sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English and Logical Reasoning.

Q. What can be done if my BITSAT 2021 admit card is lost?

A. In case a candidate loses his/her BITSAT admit card 2021, they can log in to the official website and download it again.

Q. How many BITSAT 2021 exam centres can we choose? Can the centre be changed later on?

A. A candidate can select a maximum of three exam centre preferences while filling the BITSAT 2021 application form. Candidates must note that the exam centre once chosen cannot be changed.

Q. Will I be able to sit for BITSAT 2021 if I only carry a soft copy of my identification proof?

A. No. You need to carry the original hard copy of your identity proof to your BITSAT 2021 exam hall

Q. Is the difficulty level of BITSAT 2021 comparable to JEE Main or JEE Advanced?

A. JEE Advanced is one of the most difficult examinations in the country and can be considered tougher than any other engineering exam in the country. However, BITSAT 2021 can be compared to JEE Main in paper difficulty.

Q. Are questions in BITSAT 2021 conceptual or theoretical?

A. BITSAT 2021 will have both types of questions. However, the heavier emphasis is on conceptual questions.
