The CBSE has earlier presented two options for conducting the class 12 board exams – one option is to conduct the exams for major 19 subjects from August 1 to 20 and the other option is of conducting the exams in two phases, July 15 to August 1 and August 5 to 26. States will have the option of choosing the best suitable option considering the COVID-19 pandemic.
The JEE Main 2021 new exam dates thus is entirely dependent on when and how CBSE class 12 board exams are conducted. NTA is considering several options to pick the best suitable dates for conducting the exams, says the report.
The JEE Advanced exam, which is conducted after JEE Main, shall also be postponed. Currently, JEE Advanced 2021 is scheduled to be conducted on July 3. In case of JEE Main 2021 conducted in July and August, the JEE Advanced is likely to be conducted in September.
