Check items allowed, dress code and COVID-19 guidelines for JEE Main 2021 3rd attempt exam beginning tomorrow. JEE Main 2021 phase 3 exam will be held on July 20, 22, 25 and 27.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the JEE Main 2021 session 3 exam from tomorrow, July 20. The exam will be held in morning and evening shifts on four days July 20, 22, 25 and 27. Morning shift will start from 09:00 AM and will conclude at 12:00 PM while the evening shift will begin at 03:00 PM and will end at 06:00 PM.

NTA has set up around 828 exam centres in 334 cities across India and abroad for conducting the JEE Main 3rd attempt 2021 exam. The exam will be monitored by a central control room using web-cameras installed in all the exam centres of JEE Main.

Strict COVID-19 protocols will be followed at the exam centres as per Government of India guidelines. NTA has also provided details of dress code, exam day guidelines and special instruction related to COVID to students through their JEE Main admit card. Candidates need to follow all the instructions mentioned on their admit card at the exam centres.

Items allowed Inside Exam Centre

  • JEE Main Admit Card 2021 for phase 3 (April) exam

  • One photo Id proof and a colour photograph

  • Transparent ball point pen

  • Personal hand sanitizers

  • Face mask and hand gloves

  • Transparent water bottle

JEE Main 2021 COVID-19 Guidelines

  • Candidates should report to the examination centre as per the reporting time mentioned on their JEE Main admit card.

  • Candidates need to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet with each other all the time inside the exam centre.

  • Candidates will be required to sanitize their hands before entry to the exam centre

  • Candidates will be provided fresh mask at the time of entry to the exam centre. Candidates have to wear the freshly provided masks and remove the ones carried by them to avoid any chance of UFM.

  • Students are advised not to bring anything other then the permitted items

  • Candidates should fill the Self Declaration Undertaking part of their JEE Main admit card and sign at the appropriate place beforehand their entry to exam hall.

JEE Main 2021 Dress Code

  • Candidates should not wear any jewellery or metallic items

  • Any kind of goggle, bracelets or rings in fingers is strictly prohibited

  • Candidates should wear light and comfortable clothes

  • Shoes or sandles with thick soles is prohibited

Candidates should not carry mobile phones, any kind of study materials or any prohibited items inside the exam hall. Also, candidates should report to the exam centres only as per the reporting time mentioned in their admit cards.

No. There is no qualifying percentile in JEE Main. However, the candidates who want to appear in JEE Advanced will have to get a minimum qualifying percentile in JEE Mains. This minimum qualifying percentile is announced with the JEE Main session 2 reult.
