Q:   What type of questions are asked in JEE Main?
A:

Questions in the JEE Main exam are of two types

Multiple choice questions - Each question will have 4 options with only 1 correct answer. Candidates have to select the correct answer out of the 4 available options. 

Numerical Ability Question - In these type of questions, no options are provided. Candidates have to solve the question and write its answer using keyword and mouse. Answer to these questions will be a numerical value.

Q:   Can I change the language of the question paper during the exam?
A:

Question paper during the exam will be visible in English, Hindi and the language selected by the candidate while filling the JEE Main application form. Candidates can switch the language of question paper between the default languages which is English Hindi and selected language in the application. In total, JEE Main is conducted in 13 languages and candidates have the option to select any language out of the available options. Candidates cannot switch the language of question paper between all 13 languages during the exam.

Q:   What is Chapterwise weightage of class 11 and 12 topics in JEE Main?
A:

Chapterwise weightage of class 11 and 12 topics in JEE Main are mentioned below:

  • Physics: Current Electricity Waves AC, Magnetism, Laws of Motion Work, Power and Energy.
  • Chemistry the high weightage topics are s and p block elements, Coordination compounds, Thermodynamics Gaseous state, Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, Polymers, Environmental Chemistry Organic Chemistry.
  • Mathematics, the high weightage topics are Sequence and Series Vectors and 3D, Integral and Differential Calculus, Definite and Indefinite Integral.

It is important to note that the official JEE Main 2024 answer key, question papers, and response sheets will be available a few days after the exam is over on April 12. The official JEE Main answer key will be open to challenge, and candidates will be able to check it on the official JEE Mains website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.

How to Calculate Score Using JEE Main 2024 Memory Based Answer Key and Question Paper?

The JEE Main 2024 memory-based answer key and question papers can be used by candidates to get an idea of their raw scores. To do so, candidates can use the steps below:

  • Candidates must first access the memory-based questions and answers for the shift and day in which they appeared for the JEE Mains exam.
  • They can then review the questions and answers based on their memory and award themselves 4 marks for correct answers and deduct 1 mark for incorrect answers.
  • This process will give them an estimate of their JEE Main 2024 scores.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the JEE Main 2024 cutoff along with the session 2 results. The cutoff is the minimum score in the percentile that candidates must secure to be eligible for JEE Advanced. Based on historical data, candidates who score above 90 percentile are likely to have a good chance of qualifying for JEE Advanced 2024.

Official JEE Main 2024 Answer Key

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key of the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) on its official website. Candidates can submit their objections to the provisional answer key within a certain period by paying a fee of INR 200 per question. The JEE Main answer key for session 1 is available under candidate logins on the official website.

Candidates can challenge the NTA answer key 2024 online through the login for the JEE Main 2024 answer key. The expected exam score can be calculated by candidates using the JEE Main response sheet, question paper, and JEE Main 2024 answer key. After considering the challenges submitted by the candidates, the final answer key is released. Based on the final answer key, the JEE Main 2024 result shall be announced.
