JoSAA 2026 Counselling Schedule & Fees: Check When will JoSAA Start and What is Registration Fee

JoSAA 2026 Counselling Schedule & Fees

JoSAA Counselling Schedule & Fees 2026: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will release the JoSAA counselling dates soon. As per the official website of JEE Advanced 2026, the JoSAA registration date is June 2, 2026, a day after the IIT JEE result is announced. On the other hand, the official website for JoSAA counselling is yet to host the counselling dates. The complete schedule of JoSAA is expected to be out as soon as the JEE Advanced result is declared on June 1. Check all details below.

JoSAA Counselling Fees 2026

There is no fee to register and apply for JoSAA 2026 counselling. However, the candidates need to pay a fee after they have been allotted a seat in any of the counselling rounds to hold their seat. Check the fee needed to be paid during the JoSAA counselling process below:

SAF: JoSAA seat acceptance fee (SAF) is given below

When allocated a seat for the first time, candidates must pay the fee during that specific round. Failing to pay the fee means rejecting the offer, which immediately disqualifies the candidate from participating in any subsequent JoSAA 2026 seat allotment rounds.

• How to pay the JoSAA seat acceptance fee: Candidates should remit the seat acceptance fee using a Debit card / UPI / Credit card / Net Banking / E-Challan.

PAF: JoSAA partial admission fee (PAF) is given below

After the last round of JoSAA 2026, candidates with a provisionally allocated seat (allocated in any round of JoSAA 2026 and not cancelled or withdrawn) in NIT+System must remit the Partial Admission Fee (PAF). Failure to pay the partial admission fee will result in the rejection of the offered/allocated seat.

• How to pay the partial admission fee: For payment of PAF, candidates should either use a Debit card, UPI, credit card or Net Banking facilities available on the JoSAA portal or an E-challan of State Bank of India downloaded from the JoSAA portal for making physical payment.

JoSAA Counselling 2026 Dates

The JoSAA counselling schedule includes the following dates:

• Registration, choice filling and locking period
• Mock seat allotment dates
• Round-wise seat allotment dates (Rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc). Each round of JoSAA counselling includes the release of allotment result, cutoff (OR and CR) release, and online reporting (seat confirmation, document verification and fee payment).

The number of rounds in JoSAA is typically 5 to 6. Last year, JoSAA counselling had a total of six rounds and the year before, there were five rounds.

JoSAA 2026 Counselling Registration and Choice Filling Dates

Check below the tentative dates for JoSAA registration and choice filling. Note that the JoSAA choice filling window as well as the registration window will open once. It will not be available for each of the counselling rounds. Choices once locked will be final and will be used for seat allotment in all rounds of JoSAA 2026.
