Students are demanding to defer JEE Main 2021 4th attempt and reschedule dates with at least 15 days gap between 3rd and 4th attempt. Some students are also demanding to postpone both attempts of JEE Main 2021 amid COVID.
The voice for postponement of JEE Main 2021 May session exam is getting stronger with the postponement of NEET 2021 exam. Today, on July 12, NTA has postponed All India Medical Entrance Exam, NEET 2021 till September 12. NEET 2021 was scheduled to be held on August 1 which is now rescheduled to September.

The JEE Main deferment demand is getting nation wide support from academicians to parents and other organizations. A large number of students are demanding postponement of 4th attempt due to less gap between the 3rd and 4th attempt. JEE Main 2021 4th attempt is scheduled to be held between July 27 to August 2, just a day after the 3rd attempt ends. Students are demanding that there should be at least a 15 days gap between session 3 and 4 exams.
Some students are also demanding reschedule of both April and May session of JEE Main 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. A few parts of the country is still under partial or complete lock-down while travel to and from some places is not allowed due to COVID. Students who live or have test centres in such places will face trouble in commuting. Most JEE aspirants are below 18 years and have not been vaccinated.
Students have written to Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan requesting to intervene in the matter and reschedule the JEE Main 2021 4th attempt exam. JEE Main 2021 exam date for the postponed April and May exam was announced July 6. The April exam is scheduled from July 20 to 25 while the May attempt is scheduled from July 27 to August 2. Considering the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and to ensure social distancing, NTA has increased JEE Main exam centres from 660 to 828 and also added over 100 new exam cities.
Total injustice with JEE Aspirants!

Even NDA and NEET got postponed but still they are not postponing JEE MAINS.#JusticeForJEEAspirants
The education system in the country has suffered a lot due to the COVID-19 pandemic . So , to curb the spread of coronavirus the JEE exams should be postponed or the gap between the papers must be increased with minimum of 15 days .#JusticeForJEEAspirants

2 days gap is irrelevant. Atleast 15-20 days should be given between 2 sessions. A student will not be able to sit for 4th session if he/she get infected during 3rd session, because of this very small gap. @dpradhanbjp

A minimum gap is required to spot mistakes and prepare for the next attempt but the gap of just 2 days between the 3rd and 4th attempt has created havoc among the students.#JusticeForJEEAspirants

Every JEE aspirant must be vaccinated before the exam. This is the need of the hour.#JusticeForJEEAspirants

Students have to travel distance to write the exams, parts of the country are still in lockdown or either high risk areas. Who is responsible for the lives of students ? #JusticeForJEEAspirants

No. There is no qualifying percentile in JEE Main. However, the candidates who want to appear in JEE Advanced will have to get a minimum qualifying percentile in JEE Mains. This minimum qualifying percentile is announced with the JEE Main session 2 reult.
