Make notes of formulas and important concepts in brief on white sheets and keep them with you while practicing questions. Then make more brief notes that can make you recall the whole concept. An important thing is that your notes can make you understand the topic much better than any other person’s notes. So, make them yourself and be as precise as possible.
- Last week’s tips and tricks: Make very brief notes that can make you remind the whole topic at once, drawing tables and flowcharts are the easy ways of learning. Do not stress on any particular topic for too long as the time limit is very less in the exam. So be precise in learning, save maximum time and cover as many topics as possible. In the last time, focus on the subjects in which you are strong as you have to be correct in whatsoever you know. The exam is not about scoring full marks but about getting maximum correct answers. Also, avoid negative marking as it can bring down your score.
- Tips on time management: With my personal experience, I can say that a person can learn maximum in the morning. So, set your timetable accordingly. Divide the subjects accordingly, give a couple of hours to each subject and take a break for 15 minutes. Do not stress much at night as you are going to need a proper amount of sleep in order to retain maximum. So, sleep by 10 pm and get up early by 6 pm.
- Scoring topics: The most important point to remember is that you have to go through the entire paper quickly. Do not attempt one by one, as you can lose precious questions due to time constraints. Start the exam and go through all the questions very quickly and check if there are any questions that can be answered without calculations and whether you know the answer or not. Then attempt the questions that you feel you can solve easily. After that, go for a bit tougher questions that can be cracked. Do not go for the most difficult questions and waste your time on them.
- Revision approach: Make notes of formulas and important concepts in brief on white sheets and keep them with you while practicing questions. Then make more brief notes that can make you recall the whole concept. An important thing is that your notes can make you understand the topic much better than any other person’s notes. So, make them yourself and be as precise as possible. Try to solve the questions that cover a lot of concepts at once so that you can revise all of them in a single run.
- Managing 12th along with JEE preparation: It is not much difficult to keep both 12th and JEE together as the syllabuses are not exactly the opposite. The concepts are similar and you can practice accordingly. Try to cover the class 12th syllabus maximum in the school itself. Otherwise, give 30 minutes every day to school studies as that will be sufficient. If the concepts are clear, then there will be no problem in covering them both, side by side. So, make a proper timetable and distribute the work accordingly.

With a JEE Main percentile of 90.94 and CRL rank ~1.4 Lacs (female, general category), you have realistic chances in mid-tier NITs (later rounds), state government colleges, and strong private universities in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore for ECE/EEE. Top NITs/IIITs are unlikely, but good regional option

With a JEE Main 2026 rank of 400,510 (≈ 70 percentile), admission to NITs, IIITs, or top GFTIs through JoSAA counseling is not possible.
Why?

With a JEE Main CRL rank of ~79,364 and an EWS category rank of ~11,884, you have a realistic chance of securing CSE in several mid-tier NITs, newer IIITs, and some GFTIs. Top NITs (Trichy, Surathkal, Warangal, Allahabad) are out of reach, but options like NIT Jalandhar, NIT Hamirpur, IIIT Kota, III
