Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is one of the best colleges for BTech all over India and VITEEE is the engineering entrance exam conducted by VIT in order to get admission in Vellore Institute of Technology. In this article, I will give you some basic tips from my own experience for the preparation of VITEEE.
Explore popular B.Tech colleges for you
Cover complete syllabus and knowledge of exam pattern
Syllabus of VITEEE is similar to your Class 12 syllabus but the level is not the same. For VITEEE, you have to prepare in different formats than your 12th boards. In this exam, subjects like English and Aptitude are included so you have to focus on these subjects as well.
Exam pattern of this exam is as follow-
- Computer-based test
- Duration – 2 hours 30 minutes
- MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions)
- of questions- Physics - 35, Chemistry - 35, Math - 40, English - 5, Aptitude -10
- Total marks - 125
- No negative marking
Refer handy study material
NCERTs are the best books for the preparation of subjects like Chemistry and Physics, however, to secure a good score you also have to refer to the books mentioned below
- Physics – D.C. Pandey and H.C. Verma
- Chemistry - R.P. Singh and O.P Tandon
- Mathematics - R.D. Sharma and A Das Gupta
Know all the scoring topics/chapters
Scoring chapters for each subject are as follow:
- Physics - Optics, EMI and AC, Work Energy and Power, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current
- Chemistry - P-Block, D and F-Block Elements, Coordination Chemistry, Electro-chemistry, Thermodynamics and Chemical Equilibrium
- Mathematics - Vector Algebra, Integral Calculus and its Applications, Trigonometry and Complex Numbers, Matrices and Differential Equations
- English - Short passage and lines of poems from Class 11 and 12
- Aptitude- Data Interpretations, Syllogism, Coding and Decoding
Easy revision approach/study plan
Your study plan should be very clear and easy for you to follow. With limited time in hand, a student cannot afford to waste time so they need to ensure proper planning and implementation is required to reach their goals.
Revision- Avoid starting new topics at this point of time as this would lead to confusion in understanding new concepts which in turn would waste your precious time.. While studying, prepare crisp and short notes; this would help in revising any topic in a better manner without opening several books referred to during preparation and would save a lot of your time. This is one of the important and easiest ways to revise important topics.

No — VIT-AP does not admit or offer free seats under EAPCET counselling and you cannot admit to VIT-AP without VITEEE (or management quota).
The clear explanation is described below:
1. Is VIT-AP EAMCET/EAPCET rankable?
- No.
