NCERT (Both 11th and 12th) along with previous year JEE Mains papers are sufficient to score 200+ in MAINS. Solving last 10-year IITJEE papers us a huge bonus as it repeats 3-4 questions with the same options for sure every year.
For students who wish to do more, and aspiring a high rank they should adopt the following few things:
1. Thorough with NCERT especially Chemistry.
2. Practice topics like P&C, Probability with any other reference books as it needs more practice.
3. Mechanics will be simple and formula-based, so going through the previous year's paper would cover all your concepts for the exam.
4. Name reactions in organic chemistry are important.
5. Check options first before solving as most of the time eliminating options will get you to the right answer.
Face JEE MAINS with courage. Trust me it's not as tough as it seems.
I will recommend you to study
1. NCERT first full chapter to study basics because Jee Advance is all about basics at a higher level.
2. Then, coming to a higher level,
Follow 1 book for concept clearing and one for the practice of each subject:
Physics: 1.H.C. Verma for concepts
2. Irodov for questions.
Chemistry:
A) Organic: M.S.Chouhan for both concepts and questions.
B) Inorganic: J.D.Lee for questions.
And. Balaji publications for questions.
C) Physical: P.Bahadur for both.
Mathematics: Use above mentioned book for concepts. And S.K. GOYAL

FOR QUESTIONS
From the year 2019 onwards NTA has put a heavyweight on NCERT.
Majority or almost 70–80% of questions in the inorganic chemistry where directly from NCERT. But the thing to note is that if you solely rely on NCERT then you can clear the cutoff but could not expect a decent rank.
Hence we need to have a combination of NCERT + COACHING MODULES/NCERT+ STANDARD BOOKS FOR JEE PREP. The choice is yours.
NCERT is very important to ace the examination but it alone on the battlefield could not lead to a victory with a great margin.
Hence, to conclude study NCERT very properly and also use other extra references with plenty no. Of tests and at last, calmness which is the most important one.
Cengage publications and Arihant publications have various books which would be enough to cover JEE Mains syllabus for mathematics.
PHYSICS:
You need to have good command on your strong topics and concept clarity is the key. But still, you can expect 4–5 questions as wrong.
CHEMISTRY:
You have to aim for 120 marks in chemistry and should not ignore chapters like:
Biomolecules
Polymers
Everyday life
Environmental chemistry
Have a good grip on NCERT for inorganic.
MATHS:
One should aim for 120 marks in mathematics.
Now, this might seem foolish for some people but if you are aiming for 300+ you have to have a good grip on maths. You just can't ignore it.
Believe me, I used to score around 250 marks in my coaching tests but in the last days I focused on my weak areas i.e inorganic and mathematics and they did wonders for me.
In JEE Advanced, the Maths is far beyond reach for many but in JEE Mains, the questions are very simple especially from topics like:
3D Geometry
Statistics
Mathematical reasoning
Vectors
Matrics and determinants
It will definitely won't come overnight but give tests to attempt all 90 questions(also do the guesswork for it) and then after high negative, try to minimize it.
For example, in questions having values of n and options with it, try to solve by putting n=2or 3 and matching options.
In trigonometry, try to give angle values like 30, 45, 60 degrees.
Try to solve questions of properties of the triangle by assuming the triangle to be equilateral.
Believe me, it works.
Keep in mind the following things:
In physics, go for dimensional analysis, if it works out.
If the problem contains a parameter like an n etc. and the question appears illogical for a/n=2 then search for options that contain (n-2) in the denominator.
Put n=infinity if necessary and solve a simple limit.

If you get above 93 percentile in the 1st or 2nd session of JEE main, take preparation of JEE advanced. You can get IIT's seat through JEE advanced. Or you can also try for NITs. If you are unable to clear the cutoff, you can also give exams for state government colleges and exams for specific colle
