Students appearing for VITEEE might have a lot of last-minute doubts in their minds. Now what I'm aiming to do is to tell all the aspirants about the pattern which will assist you in preparing strategies for the exam. First of all, the VIT paper tests our speed and consists of 125 questions, 35 of each Physics and Chemistry, 40 questions of Mathematics, 5 of English and 10 questions of Aptitude.

For preparation, I must tell you that VIT focuses more on factual knowledge. So, students should be thorough with their concepts and that can be done by studying the NCERT of each of the subjects. The best approach for preparing any exam is to study the NCERT first. Students should do the text questions and back exercise questions and read the important points given in the textbook. Cover Class 12 topics first because that will help you prepare for your board exams, also.

Solve as many previous years’ question papers as you can. Again, pick the important and scoring topics, study them and practice previous years’ questions from that topic. Do subject-wise preparations, pick your favourite subject which you know you can score in. Revise theory and do not take long breaks. I know it’s really hard to stay focused for a long time but you don’t have any other option. Each and every section is equally important. Since it is a speed-based test the questions are easy and NCERT along with practising the previous years’ question papers is enough.

For Physics, you can refer to HC Verma it will also help you clear your fundamentals and get conceptual clarity which is very much required, some important chapters on which you should focus on are:

  1. Dimensional Analysis
  2. Electrostats
  3. Current Electricity
  4. Ray Optics
  5. Way Optics
  6. Kinematics

Talking about Chemistry, you can study inorganic Chemistry from NCERT. A book which I'll highly recommend you guys for clearing your concepts in Chemistry is J D Lee, It will help you know extra facts which will prove to be tremendously helpful for your VIT exam. For Physical Chemistry, you should solve the previous years’ papers only. For Organic Chemistry, the best book is Paula Bruice. Apart from this, all the name reactions should be on the tips. Some important chapters on which you should focus are:

  1. Biomolecules and Polymers
  2. S, P, D & F Block
  3. Electrochemistry
  4. Solid State
  5. Chemistry in Everyday life
  6. Equilibrium

For Mathematics, I won't refer you guys any book, you just need to practice as many questions as possible, some important chapters on which you should focus on are:

  1. Matrix and Det.
  2. Sequence and Series
  3. Statistics
  4. Vector 3D
  5. Probability
  6. Complex Numbers

The approach for the VITEEE should be the same as that for JEE but from my analysis of the previous years’ papers, the questions form Class 12 was more than those from Class 11. I advise you guys to give as many mock tests as possible. This will provide you a real exam time scenario and help to build up a temperament along with reducing stress.

In VITEEE, VIT mainly focuses on class 12th syllabus than 11th standard syllabus. To score 300 to 400 marks in VIT exam, we advise to -

  • Cover 12th syllabus first
  • Solve PYQs and mock test

So basically, the syllabus for SRM, VITEEE, GITAM, and most IIIT entrance exams is not something completely different. All of them are mostly based on your Class 11 and 12 NCERT. If you're preparing for JEE Main, you're already covering a big part of it.

Let me break it down in a simple way.

No, slot booking once done cannot be changed under any circumstances. The VITEEE slot booking 2026 follows the first-come-first-serve rule, therefore candidates who book their exam slot fast will be allotted their desired test date and time.
