VITEEE 2016 exam commenced on April 6. Read what students had to say about the exam, on Shiksha.

VITEEE 2016 commenced on April 6 and will conclude on April 17, 2016. The computer based exam, which is organized by VIT University, is being conducted in three sessions each day - 9 am to 11:30 am, 12: 30 pm to 3 pm and 4 pm to 6:30 pm. According to reports, this year, approximately two lakh students have registered for VITEEE 2016.

VITEEE 2016 exam paper is divided over four sections – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology and English. All the questions across these sections carry one mark. Take a look at the exam pattern below.

Most of the candidates which Shiksha spoke to informed that the paper was overall easy. Zoya, a student of Ryan International School, said," The paper was overall easy. For me, Physics and Chemistry were at par. Biology is my favorite subject it was the easiest for me".

Akash Gupta, an engineering student, shared that considering the length of the paper, time was very less. He said, " The paper was of moderate level. I found Mathematics to be the toughest. It was lengthy too. Chemistry was simple and Physics was of moderate level. I felt that the time was pretty less".

Talking about surprises in the paper, Vishal Sharma, a college dropout, said, " For me, Physics was the toughest and Chemistry was the easiest. There were no surprises in the paper too. Being an online exam, thank god, there were no glitches too".

Priyanka, a student of St. Anthony’s School,  said, “Though I was nervous before the exam, I got pretty confident when I saw the paper. Maths was lengthy but easy. However, I found Physics a bit tough. Chemistry was moderate. Priyanka was one of the few girl aspirants taking the exam at the Noida Centre from where Shiksha was reporting from.

VITEEE 2016 results are expected to be announced on April 29, 2016.

From this year onwards, VIT university has launched International Transfer Programs. VITEEE 2016 counselling for Phase 1 will begin from May 9, according to the official website. Check VITEEE 2016 important dates here!

In VITEEE, VIT mainly focuses on class 12th syllabus than 11th standard syllabus. To score 300 to 400 marks in VIT exam, we advise to -

  • Cover 12th syllabus first
  • Solve PYQs and mock test

So basically, the syllabus for SRM, VITEEE, GITAM, and most IIIT entrance exams is not something completely different. All of them are mostly based on your Class 11 and 12 NCERT. If you're preparing for JEE Main, you're already covering a big part of it.

No, the exact VITEEE test centre name and address will be displayed on admit card which is available two days before the allocated exam date. At the time of slot booking it will not be disclosed.

The last date for VITEEE Slot Booking was April 19, 2026 (5:00 pm).

The slot booking process was done from April 17 to 19. The link was made available at OTBS portal. Registered candidates were able to book their exam slot using application number and password.

No, slot booking once done cannot be changed under any circumstances. The VITEEE slot booking 2026 follows the first-come-first-serve rule, therefore candidates who book their exam slot fast will be allotted their desired test date and time.

The VITEEE slot booking 2026 link is now closed. The last date to book slot was April 19 at 5:00 pm. Students who have missed, will be now random;y allocated exam date and slot based on their city preference and seat availability.
