Admission to MBA in Entrepreneurship is based on entrance exams. Some of the commonly accepted MBA Entrepreneurship entrance exams include CAT, XAT, MAT, SNAP, NMAT, and TANCET.

Candidates can pursue an MBA in Entrepreneurship from both government and private colleges. With over 271 top colleges, comprising of 220 private and 22 government colleges, MBA Entrepreneurship is one of the most preferred choices of individuals willing to pursue entrepreneurship.

  • Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree (10+2+3) in any discipline with at least 50% marks from a recognized university or institute.
XLRI
  • PGDM in Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Venture Creation
  • Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from any university or institution recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with startup or relevant business experience.
Symbiosis Institute of Business Management
  • MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship
  • The candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university or institution of national importance, achieving a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade.
  •  Candidates also need to appear for and score well on the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP).

Admission Procedure 2025

  1. Conduct personal-level research and know the eligibility for the UG and PG courses in your chosen college.
  2. Look out for whether the admission requires appearing in any entrance; if yes, then choose the exam accordingly.

CAT

The CAT exam syllabus includes three subjects – Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). The main topics of focus while covering the CAT syllabus are Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Percentages, Graphs, English Grammar, Coding-Decoding, Series Completion, etc.


MAT

MAT Syllabus includes Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, and Indian and Global Environment. The syllabus for MAT has been designed to check the candidate’s analytical skills, logical aptitude, English comprehension, and general awareness.

XAT

The XAT exam syllabus includes topics from Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge.

CMAT

CMAT Syllabus consists of five subjects – Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

Q. Is CAT entrance exam difficult?

A. The CAT is a rigorous MBA entrance exam because it is India's premier national-level test for MBA admission. Every year, over 2 lakh candidates apply for the CAT exam with the aim to get entry in some of the top management colleges. The question paper for the CAT is set by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), which is the exam conducting body. 

Despite the fact that the score is accepted by over 1300 universities, the top colleges accept scores over the 90th percentile. The IIMs have cut-offs that are higher than the 95th percentile. It has been observed that just about 20 candidates out of the entire number of exam takers are able to score 99-100 percentile. The CAT has the greatest difficulty level of any MBA entrance exam.
