NEET PG counselling 2021 schedule has been announced by MCC.The registration for first round counselling for NEET PG 2021 will begin on October 25. Read to know more.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the counselling schedule for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG 2021). As per the counselling dates, the registration for the first round will begin on October 25. The last date for registration for NEET PG counselling first round is October 29.
NEET PG counselling 2021 involves registration, fee payment, choice filling and locking, seat allotment result, and reporting to allotted college. There will be three rounds of counselling including mop-up round for seat allotment. NEET PG 2021 counselling will be conducted in online mode.

Candidates will have to register on the official website of MCC, mcc.nic.in to participate in NEET PG counselling 2021. Candidates must note that MCC will conduct the counselling for 50 per cent All India Quota seats of all states except J&K. As per the NEET PG counselling schedule, candidates will be able to fill choice of colleges and courses for the first round from October 26 to October 29. The result for NEET PG counselling 2021 first round will be announced on November 3.
Qualifying NEET PG 2021 is mandatory requirement to participate in the counselling. Through the various rounds of NEET counselling 2021, candidates will be given admission to 2,690 Master of Surgery (MS), 24,306 Doctor of Medicine (MD) and 922 PG Diploma seats. Those who will not register on the official website of MCC will not be able to participate in the counselling for NEET PG 2021. The National Board of Examinations(NBE) had conducted NEET PG 2021 on September 11 and result was announced on September 28.

According to the past year data, the last round NEET PG closing rank for MD/MS admission at IUL Lucknow ranged between 4097 and 7174 in the year 2025. The most difficult branch to get admission to was MS Ophthalmology and the most-the easiest one was MS in ENT.

Yes, for postgraduate medical courses like MD and MS, colleges accept NEET PG scores. For super-specialty courses, NEET SS is required. MBBS admission, however, is based only on NEET UG.

No. NEET-PG is mandatory for all MD admissions in India across all colleges, government, private, deemed, and central institutions. There is no alternative entrance exam or direct admission route for MD. Even foreign nationals of Indian origin need to qualify in the relevant entrance process.
