SC has issued notice on a petition filed by a group of NEET PG candidates where they had highlighted the issue being faced by them due to lack of changing exam centre option in NEET PG 2021. Read to know more.
The Supreme Court has issued notice to the National Board of Examinations and the Central government over a plea regarding changing the exam centre for NEET PG 2021. The petition filed by some NEET PG 2021 candidates, had highlighted the problems faced in the absence of an option to change the NEET PG 2021 centre.

Petitioners, two of whom are in the last trimester of pregnancy had sought Court’s help to direct NBE for providing an option to change NEET PG centre 2021. “Issue notice only with respect to petitioners 1 and 2 who are in their seventh and eighth month of pregnancy respectively,” the bench of Justices UU Lalit, Ajay Rastogi and Vikram Nath said.
The matter will be heard again on Thursday, September 2. Senior Advocate Kavin Gulati who were representing the doctors said, “On 06.08.2021, they (National Board of Examination) said that the new candidates who had filled were allowed to chose the centres and not the ones who had filled the form and were eligible earlier.” Several NEET PG candidates have requested NBE to change the exam centre due to travelling issues amid COVID-19 situation.
NEET PG 2021 application process has already been closed. NEET PG admit card 2021 will be released anytime soon. Candidates will have to download the hall ticket from the official website through login credentials generated during registration. NEET PG 2021 has been rescheduled for September 11 after it was postponed for four months amid a sudden spike in Covid-19 cases. Earlier it was scheduled for April 18. As per NEET PG pattern 2021, the exam will be conducted online at designated test centres across the country. The test paper will have 200 objective questions and candidates will be given 3.5 hours to answer them.
