JEE Main 2025 Important Instructions for Candidates

JEE Main 2025 Exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the session 2 exam of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 from tomorrow: April 2. The JEE Main exam will be held in two shifts, from 9 AM to 12 PM (morning shift) and from 3 to 6 PM (evening shift) at various test centres across the country and abroad. Those appearing for the exam tomorrow must be aware of the important JEE Main April session instructions. NTA is conducting the JEE Mains 2025 Session 2 exam on April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9.

As candidates gear up for the exam, adhering to important guidelines and instructions is essential. Here’s everything they need to know before appearing for the exam.

JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Dress Code

Before heading to the exam, candidates must adhere to the JEE Main dress code outlined below:

• Wear comfortable, simple, and lightweight clothing. Avoid outfits with large pockets, zippers, or intricate designs.
• Refrain from wearing shoes with thick soles or closed-toe slippers. Instead, opt for open-toed sandals or slippers.
• Avoid accessories such as jewellery, hairbands, or any items that may be considered a distraction.

Reporting Time & Entry Regulations

Candidates should reach the examination centre well in advance to avoid last-minute hassles. The reporting time is mentioned on the admit card, and latecomers will not be allowed entry. The gates will be closed 30 minutes before the exam begins. Ensure timely arrival to complete security checks and verification.

JEE Main 2025 Admit Card & Documents Required

Carry a printed copy of JEE Main 2025 admit card along with a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.). PwD candidates must bring their PwD certificate, if applicable.

JEE Main Exam Centre Rules

• Candidates must adhere to the dress code prescribed by NTA to prevent unnecessary delays at the security check.
• Items such as electronic gadgets, calculators, stationery, and any study material are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
• Only a transparent water bottle, admit card, ID proof, and necessary medical documents (if applicable) are allowed.

JEE Main 2025 Exam Format and Instructions

• Mode of Exam: JEE Main 2025 is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch/B.Planning papers.
• Marking Scheme: Candidates should carefully read the question paper instructions to understand the marking scheme. Negative marking is applicable for incorrect answers.
• Rough Work: Rough sheets will be provided at the centre, and candidates must return them after the exam.

Candidates must exit the exam hall in an orderly manner as per the invigilator’s instructions. Ensure that biometric verification (if conducted) is completed before leaving the centre.
