IIHMR-U MAT 2026: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

IIHMR University conducts IIHMR-U MAT every year for admission to MBA courses. Specialisations on offer based on the IIHMR-U MAT exam include Hospital and Health Management, Pharmaceutical Management, and Development Management. IIHMR-U MAT question paper comprises five sections: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis, and General Awareness. The exam is conducted offline with a total of 150 questions divided equally among all five sections.

IIHMR University has decided to conduct the MAT exam for MBA admission on 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month. Candidates qualifying based on IIHMR U MAT or any other national level entrance exam are allowed to appear for GD and PI rounds to be conducted on 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays of the month. Candidates will be able to check the IIHMR U MAT results for GD and PI rounds within 2-3 days of the process.

IIHMR University hosts MAT application form separately for all four rounds under one exam session. Candidates need to apply for the admission round in which they wish to appear for the exam. However, after the first round of IIHMR-U MAT and GD-PI, the varsity only conducts the examination process if the seats remain vacant. The application process for all four rounds of IIHMR-U MAT remains the same. Space below mentions the brief steps to fill the IIHMR-U MAT application form:

4. Fill in the parent’s details
5. Adding address information for correspondence
6. Adding in the academic and work experience related details
7. Uploading necessary documents
8. Payment of IIHMR-U MAT application fee

Candidates need to pay INR 1,000 as the IIHMR U MAT application fee. Additional fee is applicable if the candidates apply for more than one courses.

IIHMR-U MAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility conditions before they apply for the IIHMR-U MAT 2026:

• Candidates must hold any recognised bachelor's degree of a minimum three-year duration.
• The minimum score required in the qualifying exam mustn’t be below 50 per cent in aggregate.
• Candidates with CAT/XAT/NMAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/GMAT eligible scores are exempted to appear for IIHMR-U MAT.
• Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation degree or awaiting the result of their final year examination can also apply.
• Working professionals are preferred; however, is not a prerequisite

Note: Candidates who are awaiting the final exam results will be admitted provisionally. They need to submit the evidence of their graduation within two months of the start of the session.

IIHMR-U MAT 2026 Admission Process

IIHMR University admission 2026 are subject to candidates scoring a minimum of 50 percentile in the accepted entrance exams. The varsity accepts the following MBA entrance exams for admission:

• Common Admission Test
• Xavier’s Aptitude Test
• NMAT by GMAC
• Management Aptitude Test
• Common Management Admission Test
• AIMS Test for Management Admissions
• Graduate Management Admission Test

Candidates who did not appear in any of the above entrance exams, or have a percentile score less than 50, need to appear for IIHMR-U MAT for admission mandatorily.

IIHMR-U MAT comprises questions from five sections. The difficulty level is on similar lines to that of any other entrance exam conducted after graduation. The sections included as per the IIHMR-U MAT 2026 syllabus are as follows:

Candidates must prepare for any relevant topics appearing under the above-mentioned sections. Candidates who have appeared for any other MBA entrance test need not prepare rigorously for the IIHMR-U MAT as the difficulty level and the type of questions remain the same.

IIHMR University conducts the MAT exam for university-level admissions at the university campus itself. Candidates who submit the application form before the deadline are issued the IIHMR-U MAT admit card. The admit card of IIHMR-U MAT 2026 is downloadable via the candidate login portal. The varsity will not disburse the admit card via post. The hall ticket of the entrance exam comprises all the details relevant to the exam such as test centre address, bell timings, exam day instructions and more.

Candidates qualifying the IIHMR-U MAT 2026 are called for the GD and PI rounds. The admission to the university is based on the cumulative performance of the candidates in the entrance exam, GD, PI, academic record, and co-curricular activities or quality of work experience.

IIHMR-U MAT Qualifying Cutoff 2026

Candidates who are applying for admission based on the management entrance exams other than IIHMR-U MAT must score a minimum of 50 percentile in the exam to qualify for the GD-PI rounds. The qualifying cutoff for admission based on IIHMR-U MAT varies across all three courses.
