CUET UG Answer Key 2026: Download Provisional and Final Key PDFs and Question Paper

The maximum marks in CUET UG exam for each subject is 250 marks. The CUET total marks may vary depending upon the number of subjects opted by candidate.

NTA prescribes the CUET UG marking scheme. Check below to know the CUET UG marking scheme 2026:

• Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
• Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
• Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
• If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
• If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
• If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

CUET UG 2026 answer key will be released in third week of June 2026. Candidates who will appear for the exam can download the CUET provisional answer key along with the response sheet after the release. NTA will also release the CUET UG 2026 final answer key before the declaration of final results. It is expected that CUET 2026 final answer key will be released in last week of June 2026.

If the question is dropped or the answer key is revised, NTA will give score as

• If multiple options are correct then students who marked any correct option will get five marks.

• If all options provided are correct then all students who gave answer will be given five marks.

• If none of the options is correct, a question is wrong, or a question is removed then all students who attempted the removed question will get five marks.

No, candidates can raise objections after the CUET result has been declared. NTA calculates the final CUET score based on final answer key. CUET revised answer key is released after evaluating the objections raised by the candidates after the released of provisional answer key.

There are no prescribed marks for CUET passing criteria. Once candidate has appeared for the exam, candidates must apply for CUET counselling on official website of desired university. Based on counselling applications and CUET score, accepting universities will release the CUET cutoffs. Candidates meeting the cutoff criteria will be shortlisted for admission to desired undergraduate program.

On analysing the CUET UG cut off for the academic year 2025-26, scoring above 700 marks can be considered a good score in CUET UG. Candidates scoring above 700 may fall in the category of 95+ percentile. Candidates can get admission to top central  universities like University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other universities in the desired course. Given below is the range that is considered good for admission:

• Very Good Score: 700 and above
• Good Score: 650 and above

CUET 2026 provisional answer keys will be released on the official website: cuet.nta.nic.in. The provisional answer key is available on NTA and the CUET UG official website, which candidates can directly download, without having to log in. The final answer keys of CUET UG 2026 will be released before the declaration of results. Candidates will be able to download download the answer key PDF for online examinations.

Candidates can calculate the CUET 2026 probable score soon after the release of CUET provisional answer key. NTA will issue the CUET provisional answer key 2026 and response sheet soon after the exam concludes. Following the marking scheme, candidates can calculate their probable scores.

Yes, there is negative marking in CUET UG exam. For every wrong answer, the question will attract negative one mark. Candidates must be careful while answering the questions to avoid any negative marking.

National Testing Agency will release the CUET 2026 final answer key before the announcement of results. NTA releases the revised CUET answer key based on the objections received at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates are given opportunity to challenge the CUET UG answer key 2026 within a three-day window. The date to challenge the answer key will be notified. Only paid challenges made during the stipulated period will be considered. CUET answer key challenges without justification/evidence, and those filed on any other medium other than the prescribed link for CUET UG will not be considered. National Testing Agency will announce CUET UG 2026 result tentatively in first week of July 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA has not officially announced the CUET result 2026 date. CUET UG 2026 exam will conclude on May 31, 2026 and results will be announced approximately one month after the exam date.

A CUET score of 400 marks is considered to be a decent or average score. With the CUET score of 400 marks and correct CUET subject combination criteria, candidates can bag admission in mid-tier colleges. The admission chances vary from category to category. NTA is expected to release the CUET provisional answer key 2025 in first week of July 2025. Candidates can check their response sheet and official answer key. CUET 2026 final answer key will be released by NTA at cuet.nta.nic.in in first week of July 2026. Candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to download the CUET 2026 official answer key along with the individual response sheet. Candidates are also be given the opprtunity to challenge the CUET answer key 2026 provisional when released. To download the provisional CUET answer key candidate's CUET 2026 response sheet will be required to enter the login credentials. NTA will release the CUET 2026 final answer key before the declaration of results.
