
VMOU January 2026 exam finished. VMOU results for UG, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma, and Certificate courses will be released soon on official VMOU website. No notification has been issued about VMOU result date 2026. However, it is expected that VMOU Jan 2026 results will be announced within one to two months. Students are advised to visit official VMOU website regularly to get latest updates.
To check the result, candidates need to enter a scholar number and programme name. VMOU Kota result contain details such as students' details and term-end marks. Students securing the minimum or more than passing marks are considered as passed VMOU exam. Please note that qualifying students are promoted in accordance with university rules.
Students who pass all the papers in the term end exam can appear in the improvement exam. Students are given only one opportunity to improve their marks. Students can apply for revaluation for theory papers in UG/PG programmes only.

VMOU Result 2026: Improvement of Marks
Check the rules and regulations for VMOU marks improvement are as follows. This rules are provided by the VMOU conducting body on the official website.
- You can apply for improvement of marks only if you already finished your Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree programme.
- You only get one chance to try improving your marks, no more.
- Improvement is allowed only in theory papers, not in practicals, labs, projects, dissertation, workshops, or internal assignments, those can’t be changed.
- You can improve only up to half of the total papers, not all of them.
- If you want to improve, you can sit for the next university examination after your results come, but only if your registration is still valid till that exam time.
- You can’t improve your marks if the maximum time to finish the programme is over. Re-registration isn’t allowed just for improvement.
- When you give the improvement exam, the better marks between your old result and the improvement result will be taken, the higher one stays.
- After improvement, the month and year of completing your programme changes to the exam session in which you appeared for improvement.
- You can improve marks only if the course exam you want to improve is being held by the university during that term.
- The examination fee for improvement is Rs. 450 per paper for UG and Rs. 750 per paper for PG programmes.
- On the envelope where you put your form, write APPLICATION FORM FOR IMPROVEMENT IN DIVISION/CLASS at the top.
- Any change in result because of improvement will not be counted for the university merit list.

VMOU TEE eligibility for UG programme is based on the merit. Candidates must have passed Class 12. No entrance test is conducted for admission to the PG courses. Candidates must have passed graduation.

Re-evaluation of Answer Book
Students who fail or get low marks can apply for revaluation of their answer books. They can choose up to two theory papers for revaluation. Revaluation is not allowed for practicals, internal assignments, projects, dissertations, viva-voce, due papers, boycotted papers, special exams, or improvement papers. Students must apply within 15 days of the result declaration. Revaluation is allowed for only up to 25% of the theory papers attempted in the exam. The fee for revaluation is Rs. 300 per paper.

VMOU Result 2026: Semester Marking Scheme
VMOU prescribes the marking scheme for end term examination. In order to pass the course, students have to secure the minimum required marks. Students have to secure at least 36 per cent marks in the exam except for BCP/BAP/BSCP courses.

The improvement of marks is applicable only for UG programmes during the completion or immediately after the declaration of the result of the completion of programme. Only one opportunity will be given to candidates to improve their marks. This is allowed only in theory papers.
Re-totalling of answer books will be permitted in all theory papers in which candidates have actually appeared in term end examination. Re-totalling of answer books is not permitted for viva-voce, internal assignments, practical papers, special examination, etc. Candidates need to apply as per the prescribed format of application by paying the requisite fees. The time period for applying for re-totalling of answer books is 30 days from the date of declaration of result.
Students in the VMOU semester exams need to secure at 36 per cent. This is exempted for BCP/BAP/BSCP courses. VMOU Kota admission takes place in two sessions-January and July. Students studying in VMOU have to take two semester exams. VMOU Term End Examination (TEE) is conducted in June and December. For admission to UG programmes candidates must pass Class 12 from a recognised board of education. For admission to PG programmes, candidates must complete graduation from a recognised university. Admission to B Ed, MPhil, PhD, MBA, and MCA programmes are done on the basis of entrance test.
Students who fail in the exam or score less marks can opt for revaluation of the answer book. They can select a maximum of two answer books for revaluation. This is done only for the theory paper. Students cannot opt for revaluation for practical papers, internal assignments, project reports, dissertations, viva-voce, due papers, boycotted papers, special examinations, and improvement papers, etc. For re-evaluation, candidates need to apply within 15 days after the declaration of the result. The amount that candidates need to pay for revaluation is INR 300.

- Candidates must reach the exam centre an hour before the commencement of exam
- Candidates must bring pencil, eraser, pen, etc. along with them for appearing in the exam
- Items such as calculator, mobile, etc. are not allowed inside the exam centre
