JEE Main results and ranks got declared on April 27 and Kalpit Veerval from Udaipur has topped the exam with an AIR 1. A student of MDS Senior Secondary School, Udaipur, Veerval has secured a 100 percentile along with securing the full marks of 360. An extremely obedient student, this topper is extremely passionate about his academics and has a keen interest in sports as well.
Kalpit topped the Indian Junior Science Olympiad in his Class 9th and bagged the top position in NTSE in Class 10th. He also topped KVPY in his Class 11th.

The second rank (AIR 2) has been bagged by Vasu Jain from Delhi while Ananay Agarwal is the third topper with an AIR 3. He too is a resident of Delhi. JEE Main 2017 AIR 4, AIR 5 and AIR 6 has been secured by Vedant Raval from Ahmedabad, Vishwajeet Agarwal from Kota and Mohan Abhyas from Kukatpally.

The AIR 1 in girls category has been bagged by Vrunda Rathi from Maharashtra. Her overall rank is 71. Poorva Garg has secured the AIR 2 by scoring 319 and standing at a rank of 96 overall. The third rank (AIR 3) amongst girls has been bagged by Narayana Jeevana Reddy. She has scored 318 and has a rank of 102 in the overall rankings.

Along with JEE Main 2017 results, the cut-off score for JEE Advanced 2017 too got declared. And as compared to the last year, the cut-offs this year has dipped considerably.
Top 2, 20,000 test takers of JEE Main will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced which will be held on May 21. The exam will be a gateway for admissions to 11032 seats in IITs across the country. Check JEE Advanced 2017 important dates here.

No. The JEE Mains emphasizes on deep knowledge and quote challenging with negative marking whereas KCET is moderately difficult which emphasizes on direct factual questions with no negative markings.

Yes. Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through the WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in the 10% approved seats offered by the self-financing colleges and institutes participating in the state-level counselling.

Yes the SRMJEEE paper pattern is similar to JEE Main however, the difficulty level is not equivalent to JEE main and the question paper is adjusted to moderate level difficulty level which will be easy for most students.
