GATE 2020 Mock Test – Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has released the GATE 2020 mock test on the official website. Candidates will be required to login to the official portal using their GATE login id and password to appear in the mock test.
IIT Delhi is the organising institute for GATE 2020. The mock tests released on the official portal are exactly similar to the latest GATE exam pattern. Candidates aspiring for the exam can get an idea about the questions and practice for it through the mock test links available on the GATE 2020 portal.

Earlier, there had been reports IIT Delhi had sent links for the GATE test series on the email of the registered students. However, in a notification, IIT Delhi has clarified that no such emails were sent by the institute's side to the applicants.
"GATE 2020 authority is not involved with any specially designed test series for GATE aspirants," read a notice posted on the official website.
"Please do not believe in the phishing/fake emails which are being circulated to the GATE aspirants by some fraudulent groups. Please note that all the relevant information about the GATE 2020 is available only at this official website," the notice added.
As per the GATE 2020 schedule, the exam will be held on February 1, 2, 8, and 9. The computer-based or online exam will be conducted for 25 subjects.
GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee) for admission to Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (MTech) and PhD programmes.
Apart from admission to higher education, GATE scores are also used by PSUs for recruitment purposes. Most of the PSUs are expected to begin the recruitment application process soon after the release of the GATE 2020 admit card.

Yes, GATE is a mandatory entrance exam for CGC Landran M.Tech admissions. The selection of candidates for the M.Tech course is done during the PTU counseling. During the PTU counseling round, CGC Landran will look at the GATE score obtained by a candidate to decide their admission.
