Despite all the measures by the competent authorities, there is a clash of the two most important exams JEE Main 2020 and NDA on September 6. In such a situation, students are confused that what they should do to not miss any of the exams. From students’ point of view both the exams are important as qualifying either of the JEE Main or NDA paves way for a better future.

In order to avoid a situation where students can’t appear in any of the two exams, the National Testing Agency came (NTA) came up with a solution. A notice has also been published by the NTA on the official website of the JEE Main 2020 in this regard. But, before knowing about the solution, students must know what are the two exams and why they are important.

What is NDA?
National Defence Academy (NDA) exam is one of the most sought after defence entrance exams in the country. The exam is conducted twice a year for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). There are two stages of NDA: written exam and SSB Interview. Around four lakh aspirants appear for NDA every year, out of which approximately 6,000 are called for SSB Interview. Candidates must have passed class 12 from a recognised board to appear for the exam.
What is JEE Main?
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE ) Main is a national level entrance exam conducted by the NTA to offer admission to BE/BTech, BPlan and BArch courses at the IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology), NITs (National Institute of Technology) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) across the country. Candidates must have passed class XII from a recognised board to appear for the exam.
How to avoid a clash between JEE Main 2020 and NDA 1 & 2 on September 6?
The NTA has come up with a solution to avoid any type of clash between NDA 1 & 2 and JEE Main to be conducted on September 6. Candidates can go through the notification below:
As JEE Main 2020 application correction window is open till July 15, candidates can follow the below steps to avoid a clash between the two exams:
- Visit the official website and click on the “JEE Main April 2020 Application Form Correction”
- On the new page, click on “Already Registered! Click here to log in”
- Enter all the required credentials to log in
- Along with making corrections (if any), candidates who will be appearing for NDA & NA Examination (I) must choose “YES” in the online application form of JEE Main 2020.
- The exam conducting authority i.e. NTA will take note that the JEE Main of all such candidates must not clash with their NDA exams.
- If any candidates are registering fresh for the JEE Main and also registered himself for JEE Main, he/she also need to choose “YES” while filling the application form.
It is very important for all the candidates appearing in both the exams to do the aforesaid for avoiding a clash of JEE Main and NDA clash. Another very important point for all such candidates is that they must do it before July 15. There may not be any other chance for students to avoid the clash.
