In a live interaction with students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had answered various questions asked by the students. Among the many questions asked by the students, one question was about the upcoming revised CBSE exam syllabus.
To this question, the Minister answered that the students will only have to study the revised syllabus for their CBSE exams and other competitive exams like Joint Entrance Examination (JEE ) Mains 2021 and National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, (NEET) 2021 will be based upon the CBSE syllabus. No questions would be asked from the reduced portion of the syllabus.

One of the students asked about his concerns related to travelling to the examination centres for the board exams amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Education Minister replied that students should reduce their fears about travelling to exam centres amid COVID. In 2020, JEE and NEET exams were conducted amid the pandemic and all the competitive exams were conducted successfully across India and abroad by the conducting authority.
He also lauded the teachers and the students to face the COVID-19 crisis with grit and determination and converted "challenges into opportunities". He also explained the importance of the ‘Manodarpan’ platform to students to release their stress and boost up their mental health that was affected due to sitting at home for a long time.
JEE Main 2021 will be held in four sessions - February, March, April and May 2021. The application form of JEE Main 2021 is available until January 23 while the payment of application fee can be done til January 24. Candidates will also be given an opportunity to correct mistakes in the JEE Main 2021 application form from January 27 to 31.
