JEE Main 26 August 2021 Student Analysis (Shift 1)

Saurabh: The paper was moderate but lengthy. It had more questions that required calculations. The Chemistry section had more inorganic questions. Maths was tough as usual.

Harjeet: Overall the paper was easy to moderate. Physics was tough but Chemistry and Mathematics were moderate in terms of difficulty. In the Physics section, there were more questions from basic chapters such as measurement and dimensions. Chemistry had equal questions from inorganic and organic sections.

Udit: Chemistry was easy but Mathematics was tough. Most of the questions were NCERT based. Electricity chapter questions were more in Physics and Mathematics had limits, integration and calculus questions.

Tanmay: The paper was moderate. As compared to the previous session, it was easier. Physics was tough and Chemistry has more questions from the inorganic section. Mathematics had balanced questions.

Steps to calculate JEE Main Score using the answer key

The JEE Main 2021 Session 4 answer key will help students to calculate their scores easily. Candidates must keep in mind the marking scheme for the exam as per which the four marks will be awarded for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every wrong one. There will be no negative marking in the numerical section. Check the steps to calculate the probable JEE Main score below:

Step-1: Download the JEE Main 2021 answer key and response sheet.

Step-2: Match answers marked in the response sheet with the answer key

Step-3: For every correct answer add four marks and for every wrong answer deduct one mark from the total score. Do not deduct any mark for wrong answers in the numerical section.

Step-4: After matching all the answers, the final total will be the probable JEE Main score.

Note: JEE Main score thus calculated may vary from the final score.

JEE uses the percentile score to prepare the merit list. As a matter of practice the score is calculated up to 7 decimal places in order to avoid ties.
