JoSAA Round 2 Cutoff 2026: The authorities will release JoSAA round 2 cutoff as per the JoSAA counselling 2026. The admission cutoff for JoSAA will be available in form of opening and closing rank. JoSAA 2026 Cutoff Round 2 is different for each course, institute, and category selected by candidates. For IITs, JEE Advanced scores will be considered for admission. On the other hand, for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, JEE Main marks will be considered. Candidates meeting round 2 cutoff are eligible for JoSAA counselling.

NO. There will be no spot round of seat allocation at any of the IITs.
Candidates do not need to present a domicile certificate in order to be admitted to IIT, NIT, or IIIT via JEE. The only university where admission is granted based on the Home State Quota is NIT. The state in which you take your 12th board test is used to determine admission, not your home state. When receiving JoSAA counselling, the domicile certificate is not necessary. The JEE score of the applicants determines their admission.
With 95 percentile in JEE Mains, your chances of getting into a NIT are high, but high-demand courses may not be available.

What is JoSAA 2026 Round 2 Opening and Closing Rank?
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will release JoSAA opening and closing rank along with seat allotment results. The JoSAA 2026 opening and closing ranks determine admission eligibility. The opening rank in JoSAA 2026 is the starting rank for a specific institute and branch.
For example, for NIT Trichy, the opening rank for round 1 is AIR 1 and closing rank 300 for CSE, which means that seat allocation process will take place within that rank range for that specific round.

What after JoSAA 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment?
After the seat allocation, students have to freeze their seat, meaning that they cannot participate in further rounds.
