It is very important in paper to manage time, hence, read the paper carefully and mark easy questions. So, solve more and more papers and spend the least time in theory.
BITSAT exam is held nationwide for admissions in BITS campuses at Goa, Hyderabad, Pilani and Dubai. BITS is among the best institutes of India and is taken as the second option by JEE aspirants after IIT. This article will help you gain clarity about the exam preparations, scoring topics, revision approach and various tips that can put you ahead in the competition.
BITSAT consists of 150 questions - out of which 40 questions of Physics, 40 questions of Chemistry, 45 for Maths/Bio ( Bio for B.Pharma aspirants ) and 15 for Language Proficiency and Aptitude. The syllabus of BITSAT is almost the same as JEE Mains. BITSAT questions are though a bit easier but the time per question is very less as that of JEE Mains hence more practise and accuracy is required for preparation. The preparation of Mains requires more grip on fundamentals and depth in problem-solving whereas, in BITSAT, it's all about, time management and accuracy.

I would suggest you to purchase a mock test series book to solve. BITSAT usually happens after JEE Mains and before JEE Advanced, hence, you already have a grip over the syllabus. So, solve more and more papers and spend the least time in theory.
It is very important in paper to manage time, hence, read the paper carefully and mark easy questions. Start with Chemistry in my opinion - as many a time, the organic and inorganic part is easier than the rest of the questions which you can solve orally. Keep marking the OMR sheet simultaneously and don't wait for the end.
Talking about the important topics, Chemical Bonding has a major weightage in the syllabus in Chemistry. Biomolecules, Mole Concept, P-block and Atomic structure should be studied thoroughly. In Physics, there are many questions from Heat and Thermodynamics. Also, Magnetic effects of Current and Current Electricity has a good number of questions. In Maths, Conic Section, Calculus and Binomial Theorem are important topics.
If the paper is before Advanced and you haven't scored the best, don't worry and remain calm. Advance and BITSAT are two different papers. Although, if you feel that your BITSAT marks will have an effect on your advance results, try to plan it after Advanced.
Hope this article is useful for all our readers. All the best!

To get admission to the BE course at the BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, students are required to appear in BITSAT. As per previous years' cutoff stats, it has been analysed that the minimum scores are between 230 and 250. But with 250 marks, the chances are less of getting selected.
