The basic tips to score high in JEE Mains is to have apt knowledge of science and maths. In the last week, you must go over through the self-made notes that you referred to while studying. A quick look at the formulas of maths will also do wonders.

Time has to be managed well, all the subjects carry equal weightage and none should be neglected. If you are good with maths and chemistry, put in more focus on physics. The study plan should be followed rigorously and while studying and solving numerical, there should be no gadget around you. Best practices include meditating for about 10 minutes before studying. This increases retention power. Prefer studying in the early morning hours. This is the success mantra of most of the students who score more than 300. Studying late at night should not be preferred since the brain is tired in the last hours of the day. Prefer sunrise to sunset, reading to listening, studying to partying and playing sports, and to online games. A healthy brain is known to produce much higher results during the daytime.
While in 12th, JEE preparations may seem to be an overloaded burden. It is not a burden, real good slogging and better time management will help you score well at both ends. Decide the timetable and set your priorities. Once you’re done with the exam, you will be a step closer to your goal. Stay as far away as possible from social media, it’s nothing but a mind-numbing exercise for the brain and body. The best case would be to owe a phone that helps you with the call feature only. After every topic is studied well, make sure you check the most scoring topics from the sample papers and last year’s exam sheets. This will help you predict and analyse your future study plan and hence, your score. The topics that carry more questions will definitely fetch more marks. Hard work does pay off, but after all the hard work is done, it's the smart work that gives an edge to your preparation. The basic of time management includes telling yourself that you have enough time to prepare. You can sleep for 8 hours, attend school for 7 hours, study for school for 2 hours and then after studying 2 hours for JEE will still leave you with 5 free hours every day, each and every day! Think wisely and manage that time. Time is adequate. Quit spending weeks doing nothing and start building history. You can get every book and material arranged. Choose the correct one and do not look back.

With a JEE Main percentile of 90.94 and CRL rank ~1.4 Lacs (female, general category), you have realistic chances in mid-tier NITs (later rounds), state government colleges, and strong private universities in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore for ECE/EEE. Top NITs/IIITs are unlikely, but good regional option

With a JEE Main 2026 rank of 400,510 (≈ 70 percentile), admission to NITs, IIITs, or top GFTIs through JoSAA counseling is not possible.
Why?

With a JEE Main CRL rank of ~79,364 and an EWS category rank of ~11,884, you have a realistic chance of securing CSE in several mid-tier NITs, newer IIITs, and some GFTIs. Top NITs (Trichy, Surathkal, Warangal, Allahabad) are out of reach, but options like NIT Jalandhar, NIT Hamirpur, IIIT Kota, III
