If you had a low score then there are several colleges that you get easily even after a low score such as IPU colleges and believe me they are good. Some of them even doing better than some of the top colleges.
JEE Main is one of the toughest exams which is given by students who want to pursue Engineering. Not all are able to crack it. But you don’t have to be demotivated.
First, if you think you had a low score then wait for the last counselling especially spot round. In spot round, most of the students get a decent branch, so wait for the spot round. And you have also many other opportunities, there are several other colleges which took admission without JEE like BITS, VIT, Manipal University and these are also good colleges.

Another thing is that if you had a low score then there are several colleges that you get easily even after a low score such as IPU colleges and believe me they are good. Some of them even doing better than some of the top colleges. If you don’t get anything then still there are some private colleges which are still good if you perform well in your college life like UPES, CGC Landra and many more. Dropping a year could be another option, if you think that you still have hope and confidence that you can crack JEE with a good score then you can go for it. But if already drop a year then it’s not advisable to take another drop. Believe in yourself and everything goes well.
According to the new rules, you have two chances to take JEE in a year. If you give JEE in January then you have another chance to give it in May, too. But the main point is you have to prepare well for JEE so that you don’t have to face such problems as we know prevention is better than cure. You have to focus on your studies from starting itself and stop using all things that distract you from your goals i.e. cracking JEE Main and Advanced.
See you can take a drop if you don’t get a decent college and you don’t want to take admission to any of the private colleges. As now you took a drop it’s easy for you to crack JEE as you already have a piece of great knowledge about that. If you think you have enough confidence to crack JEE then you must go for the drop.
There is another option here and many students follow this. What you can do is take admission in any of good private college or the college which you get through JEE and in starting of first the year you again start preparing for JEE and from here you don’t have to spoil your one year and if you prepare very well and score a good marks then you can leave that college or if you aren’t able to make it then study decent in the same college so that you grab a good placement.

Can you please confirm what you mean by “2027 mock test” — do you mean:
- BPSC 2027 Mock Test Series (for your upcoming exam prep)?
- Or a general mock test for 2027 government exams (like UPSC, SSC, Banking, etc.)?
- Or are you referring to a specific subject/year 2027 question paper mock (e.g., “BPSC 20

With a 300 SC category rank in CAT, your chances for NIT Trichy MBA are relatively high. Based on 2025 data, NIT Trichy generally shortlists SC candidates with CAT percentiles around 60-65. To achieve a 300 rank under SC category, you would need about a 65-70 percentile, or a score of roughly 60-65

Honestly, going for CSE at Chandigarh University with your score sounds like a solid choice. I'm saying this because CU has become a hub for tech placements and internships, and the environment is pretty competitive in a good way. Your 88 percentile in JEE Main could also land you a scholarship, whi
