GATE 2027 Exam Centre: IIT Madras have released GATE exam cities list on its official website: gate2027.iitm.ac.in. The GATE correction window will open as per the schedule. Candidates who want to change their exam cities can do duing the rectification phase. This year, IIT Madras will conduct GATE 2027 exam across 300+ test cities. Candidates who want to apply for GATE 2027 must check list of centres carefully before adding.

- Candidates are allowed to add least six test cities from the given GATE cities list while filling GATE application form 2027
- As per the official update, a few test cities have been added and deleted for IITM GATE exam
- GATE 2027 City Allotment Notification has been introduced. The city allotment will be notified to students before the release of GATE 2027 admit card.

IIT Madras have revised GATE 2027 exam centres along with information brochure. There are total eight zonal centres: IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee. GATE 2027 Test City Allotment
The GATE 2027 test city allotment will notify candidates about the city of their exam centre. The GATE test city allotment date is January 4, 2027. The city allotment details will be released before the GATE admit card. Candidates can download their allotment details at GOAPS.
How to download GATE 2027 Test City Allotment?
Candidates can check the process below on how to download GATE exam city allotment slip:
- Go to official website of IIT Madras GATE: gate2027.iitm.ac.in
- Then click on GOAPS portal
- Enter enrollment ID and password
- The test city slip will be displayed on the screen
- Check details and plan travel accordingly before GATE 2027 exam dates.
GATE 2027 Exam Centres for Foreign Nationals
As per the GATE 2027 official notification, "There are no international centres for the GATE examination. Interested foreign or Indian nationals interested in appearing for the GATE examination will have to travel to India to appear for the test."
Candidates are advised to check their GATE exam eligibility 2027 before filling Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering exam form.

How many test cities to choose in GATE 2027
The candidate can choose six cities from the list of examination cities available. All six exam city choices must be from the same GATE 2027 zone. In addition, the authorities have the right to add a new city or remove or allot any city from the choices submitted by the aspirant.
Commonly asked questions
No, changing exam center after release of GATE hall ticket is not allowed. Hall ticket of GATE 2026 will be released anytime soon. The GATE admit card release date has been postponed.
The GATE exam will be conducted in more than 300 cities across eight zones in India. There are no international centres. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam must travel to India. The details regarding the test city and address will be mentioned in the GATE admit card 2027.
Once the application form is submitted, candidates cannot change their GATE exam city allocated.
