HP LEET 2026: Dates, Registration, Eligibility, Syllabus, Pattern

According to the HP LEET exam pattern, the question paper will consist of MCQs. Each question will have four options, out of which candidates will have to select the right one. Since HP LEET will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test, candidates have to select and mark the correct option on the OMR sheet.

Candidates have to pay the HP LEET application fee while filling the form. General category candidates have to pay INR 650 while the SC/ST/OBC category candidates will have to pay INR 400. The required fee has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No other mode of payment will be accepted by the authorities. If the fee is not paid before the final date, then the applications will not be accepted. 

While filling out the HP LEET application form, the candidates will have to upload the required documents. The scanned passport-size photograph and signature has to be uploaded as per the official specifications. If the candidates are unable to upload the scanned documents, then the application form will not be accepted. If there are any discrepancies in the specifications of the scanned documents, then the authorities will not accept it.

As per the official HP LEET exam pattern, the authorities will conduct the entrance exam as a pen-and-paper-based test. No other mode will be used to conduct HP LEET. Candidates will have to report to the exam centres and attempt the entrance exam. Each question will have four options and the correct one has to be selected and marked in the OMR sheet. It is important to mark the answers on the OMR sheet carefully, otherwise it will not be accepted by the authorities.

The total duration of HP LEET is 2 hours. During the allotted time, the candidates will have to attempt 100 objective multiple-choice questions. No extra time will be provided to the candidates to complete the entrance examination. Candidates are advised to practice and boost their time management skills so that they are able to complete the entrance exam before the entrance exam.

The candidates will have to prepare for the upcoming entrance examination by referring to the official HP LEET syllabus. As per the official syllabus of HP LEET, the candidates will have to study topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It is to be noted that the HP LEET syllabus will be based on the syllabus of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education for Matriculation. All of the mentioned topics have to be studied carefully to have a higher chance of performing well in the exam.

Candidates are advised to carefully check the HP LEET syllabus before starting the preparation process. While reporting at the exam centre, the candidates will have to present their HP LEET admit card along with valid identity proof. Some of the photo identity proofs that the authorities will accept at the exam centres are - Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Voter ID/Passport/Driving License or any government approved identity proof. Only one of the above mentioned original identity proof has to be presented along with the HP LEET admit card. If the candidates are unable to present the HP LEET admit card or identity proof to the authorities, then they will not be allowed to attempt the examination.

Candidates will be able to check their allotted exam centre through the HP LEET admit card. The authorities will allot the HP LEET exam centres based on the order of city preference submitted in the application form. After checking the preferences, the candidates will allot the exam centres of HP LEET as per the availability. The details regarding the allotted HP LEET exam centres can be checked through the official admit card.

HP LEET admit card 2025 was released on 20th May 2025. You can access and download it using required credentials (candidate's application form/registration number and password). You cannot access admit card of HP LEET anywhere else. If you forget login credentials, you can regenerate it.

Candidates will be able to raise objections against the provisional HP LEET answer key online. To raise the objections, the candidates have to submit and email to the authorities with the corresponding proof at hptechboard [at]gmail.com. No objections will be accepted after the final date. It is to be noted that the authorities will not accept objections with proof. After all of the objections are checked, the final HP LEET answer key will be prepared.

HP LEET answer key will be released online. Candidates will be able to access the answer key of HP LEET at hptechboard.com in PDFs. No login credentials will be required to check the correct responses to the question paper through the HP LEET answer key. The authorities will not use any other mode to release the HP LEET answer key. Candidates are advised to check the correct answers and compare it with their responses to calculate the probable secured scores.

Calculate probable secured scores in exam using HP LEET answer key before official HP LEET results using below-given steps:

• Total calculated is the probable scores secured in exam.

HP LEET merit list will be prepared by the authorities and will consist of the list of candidates who are eligible for the counselling process. To prepare the merit list, the authorities will refer to the HP LEET result. During the seat allotment process, the ranks of the candidates in the HP LEET merit list will be considered as one of the important factors to select for admissions. 

Before downloading the HP LEET result, the candidates are advised to check the details for any mistakes or discrepancies. If the candidates find any mistakes, then they are advised to contact the authorities immediately. However, it is to be noted that the authorities will not accept any requests for review of the scores allotted to the candidates. The score obtained in the HP LEET result will remain final.

During the HP LEET counselling candidates are allotted seats based on their rank, preferences, categories and the number of seats. The HP LEET seat allotment results will be declared online.

The HP LEET counselling is held in online mode. Candidates have to participate in the HP LEET counselling process for admissions into the participating institutes. The process involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, verification, reporting and fee payment.

The authorities will conduct two rounds of HP LEET counselling along with two spot rounds. During the first round, the candidates will have to register and select their preference for colleges and courses. In the second round of HP LEET counselling, the registered candidates will be allowed to make changes to their submitted choice of colleges and courses. Fresh registrations from the non-LEET candidates will also be accepted during the second round. All candidates will have to report at the announced venue for the spot round of HP LEET counselling.
