Ashutosh Kumar, on the other hand, didn’t seem too happy with the questions. “I attempted almost 40 questions. The Decision Making questions were not very calculative or very tough. It was more about ethics and decision making, meaning what will a manager do in a practical scenarios. It was all about that. English was moderate but it was very lengthy. The most difficult question was Quantitative Aptitude because the questions were very tricky. There was no direct question at all. GK was okay. Only two to three questions out of 25 were on current affairs. Rest were from static GK like national reserve, national park, etc.,” he said.

Another student named Saksham told Shiksha that the XAT 2021 paper was really easy. “English was not tough compared to last year, because I gave XAT last year as well. Coming to the Maths section, it was a bit lengthy but quite average. So, we had enough time to complete 100 questions to be really honest with you. Overall, I found it to be a moderate paper. If you have done around 70-80 questions, that  would be good enough, “ he said.

Vaishnavi felt the paper was doable overall and she performed best in Quantitative Aptitude. “The Quantitative Aptitude section was really doable also most of the time I spent in Quantitative Aptitude section only. Decision Making was also good and I think in Verbal Ability, one or two Reading Comprehension passages were a bit difficult. Overall, I feel the paper was quite doable and not difficult. I think best that I gave was Quantitative Aptitude only. Some questions I found were not too much but a bit lengthy because there were two three sets and one of the set was related to Set Theory. So, that was quite lengthy,” she said.

Candidates cannot select a specific test centre for XAT exam, but they can choose two test city preferences from a drop-down menu during registration. Authorities allot XAT centres based on these preferences on a first-come, first-serve basis.
