Now, when the situation is coming back to normal, students want the exam conducting body to announce the revised schedule as earliest as possible.
On May 3, NEET PG 2021 exam was postponed for at least four months from its original date, April 15. The official notification from PMO said that NEET PG 2021 exam will not be conducted before August 31, 2021. The decision was taken to ensure enough medical personnel to tackle the rising number of covid cases.
Conduct NEET PG 2021 exam in early August, students demand
NEET PG 2021 candidates seem to be disappointed with the government’s decision to postpone the exam till August 31. They believe that the third wave of covid may strike which will lead to further postponement of NEET PG 2021 exam. In that case, the whole academic year will be wasted. Taking to Twitter, students are requesting the exam conducting body to conduct NEET PG 2021 exam before August 31.
One of the aspirants said, “Release the date of NEET PG as soon as possible and take back the orders of postponing it till 31st august! It doesn’t make any sense as the cases are low right now and nobody knows about the future! So it’s the right time to take NEET PG.”
When the final year PG university exam can be conducted in this current time, why NEET PG can’t another aspirant asked.
Please schedule the exam date to bring back doctors in the stream. In the future, we may need them, a tweet from Dr Sushma Prabha said.
'Shortage of doctors will be a big issue if the third wave strikes'
Reportedly a mutant version of the corona, Delta plus, has emerged in Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh and some other states. Around 40 cases have been reported from various parts of the country. Experts believe that the third wave of covid-19 may hit India in 6-8 weeks.
In this light, NEET PG 2021 candidates are making a strong appeal to prepone the schedule before August 31. They appeal to conduct NEET PG 2021 exam in early August. One of the students said that the public will face major frustration due to a shortage of doctors if the third wave strikes.
“Due to this unexpected postponement now the cutoff is gonna be very high!! plz consider keeping the NEET PG 2021 in early August before 3rd wave hits us. Plz, sir my humble request!! Help me achive my dream plz,” another aspirant tweeted tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

No. NEET-PG is mandatory for all MD admissions in India across all colleges, government, private, deemed, and central institutions. There is no alternative entrance exam or direct admission route for MD. Even foreign nationals of Indian origin need to qualify in the relevant entrance process.
