Yes, IIT Bombay conducts Common Entrance Exam for Design or CEED for admission to MDes programme. It is a national-level entrance exam conducted in online mode. It is a three-hour exam conducted once in a year. Candidates shortlisted based on CEED rank have to also appear for IDC written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted aspirants are further require to come for an interview round for final selection.

IIT Bombay MSc cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1, wherein, M.Sc.+ in Applied Geology is the most competitive specialsiation with a closing rank of 16 for the General AII India category students. The least competitive course is M.Sc.+ Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering with a cutoff rank of 643. IIT Bombay provides MDes admission on the basis of candidates' performance in the CEED exam. The cutoff ranks vary for different rounds, courses, specialisations, categories, and genders. IIT Bombay admission to all the courses is entrance-based (Except for EMBA, where admission is merit-based and performance in the interview round). The IIT Bombay admission process includes the application process, selection round, cutoff, merit list or counselling and other steps. For BTech, candidates have to clear JEE Main and JEE Advanced. • Candidates should have been born on or after Oct 1, 1999., if belonging to Open/ EWS/ OBC-NCL Category and on or after October 1, 1994, if belonging to SC, ST or PwD Category.
• Aspirants should have obtained a rank in UCEED. A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years. UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.
• Candidates need to pass all five subjects in Class 12 or equivalent. Those who have appeared for the first time in the qualifying exam in 2022 or earlier are not eligible.

IIT Bombay M.Tech tuition fee ranges from INR 2.71 lakh for most of the course specialisations. The course fee is higher for the integrated M.Tech programmes. Hence, the highest fee range goes up to INR 10 lakh. Candidates seeking admission must pay the prescribed admission fee amount to confirm candidature.
