IIT Delhi Launches Three Online PG Diploma Programmes in Emerging Tech Domains

IIT Delhi has launched three online PG Diploma programmes in EV Technology, Healthcare Product Development, and Quantum-AI Communication to equip learners with industry-ready skills in emerging tech fields.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has launched three online Post Graduate Diploma programmes in Healthcare Product Development and Management, Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology, and Advanced Communication Engineering with Quantum and AI Integration, designed for students and professionals. The programmes will be conducted by the Continuing Education Programme (CEP), a statutory body at IIT Delhi.
According to Prof. Manav Bhatnagar, Head of CEPQIP, these high-growth programmes aim to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in emerging sectors. Delivered through interactive online sessions by IIT Delhi’s renowned faculty and industry experts, the programmes also offer affiliate alumni status, providing long-term academic engagement and access to continued learning resources.
Speaking about the launch of the online PG Diploma programmes by the Institute, Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director, IIT Delhi, said, "At IIT Delhi, we remain committed to expanding access to world-class education and driving innovation across emerging fields. Online PG Diploma Programmes in Emerging Tech Domains
PG Diploma in Healthcare Product Development and Management: IIT Delhi’s Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CBME) offers a 12-month online programme designed to equip professionals with the skills to develop and commercialise innovative healthcare solutions. Covering biomedical innovation, regulatory science, and product lifecycle management, the programme offers a holistic, application-driven curriculum.
Open to candidates with relevant degrees or industry experience, it includes an optional two-day campus immersion for networking and academic engagement. Ideal for professionals in biomedical engineering, life sciences, or healthcare aiming to transition into R&D, product management, or regulatory roles.
PG Diploma in Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology: Designed by IIT Delhi’s Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART), this 12-month online programme aims to equip engineers, technologists, entrepreneurs, and professionals to lead India’s shift towards sustainable electric mobility. The programme features live online sessions, real-world case studies, and three immersive on-campus modules.
IIT Delhi offers four specialisations under its BTech-MTech dual degree course. Admission to this course is based on JEE Advanced scores obtained by JEE Main-qualified candidates. Given below are some of the specialisations offered under IIT Delhi BTech and BTech-MTech dual degree courses:

IIT Delhi BTech Cutoff 2024 was concluded based on JEE Advanced scores across multiple courses. The closing cutoff ranks for different BTech/Integrated BTech courses ranged between 116 and 6102, for the General AI candidates.
For cutoff rank upto 2500, the courses available are Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering (Power and Automation), Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing, B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing Engineering and B.Tech. in Engineering and Computational Mechanics. The given courses are as per the last round cutoff, for the General AI category. The ranks may vary according to category and gender.
Participants will gain industry insights from IIT Delhi faculty, collaborate with peers, and tackle advanced, industry-relevant research challenges. Prof. Santanu Kumar Mishra, Programme Director, emphasised that the course bridges academic learning with practical application to develop future-ready EV leaders driving global innovation.
PG Diploma in Advanced Communication Engineering with Quantum and AI Integration: The Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management at IIT Delhi is offering a first-of-its-kind 12-month online programme combining AI, Quantum Networking, and Advanced Wireless Communications. Designed for professionals at the cutting edge of tech, the programme delivers in-depth technical knowledge and hands-on experience through an interdisciplinary curriculum.
The programme is open to graduates from disciplines such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, or Applied Physics, with relevant professional experience. Upon completion, learners will be equipped for high-impact roles such as Quantum Communication Engineers, AI/ML Specialists in Telecom, 5G/6G Network Engineers, and Cybersecurity Experts focused on quantum-safe infrastructure.
