Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is an admission test conducted for PG admissions at state level in Tamil Nadu. Anna University conducts TANCET for admission to courses like MBA and MCA programmes. More than 200 colleges in Tamil Nadu accept TANCET scores for admission. TANCET 2026 MBA Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must obtain a bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate score of 50 per cent (45 per cent for reserved categories). Candidates are eligible if they have completed education in any of the following patterns:
- 10 + 2 + 3 / 4 /5 years pattern
- 10 + 3 years diploma + 3 years pattern
- 10 + 2 + B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm.
- 10 + 2 + AMIE
- 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE
TANCET 2026 MCA Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the TANCET MCA exam, candidates must hold a BCA or a BSc degree majoring in IT or CSE. Candidates who do not have a BCA or BSc degree must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 level or during the qualifying education. Along with the mandatory subjects/degree, candidates must have obtained 50 per cent aggregate in qualifying exam (45 per cent for reserved category candidates). Candidates must have completed their education in any of the following patterns:
