UPESMET 2027: Registrations (Ongoing), Exam Date (Soon), Syllabus, Pattern, Results

The UPESMET exam is an entrance exam conducted by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES). This exam is conducted at university level for admission to MBA courses at UPES School of Business.

1. The UPESMET is a computer-based test of two hours' duration with 140 questions. The UPESMET exam is conducted multiple times in a year.

UPES conducts UPESMET exam multiple times in year. The exam is usually conducted in ten phases. UPES releases the UPESMET application form for each phase. The dates for UPESMET 2026 exam will be updated soon. On release of the schedule candidates can know the UPESMET 2026 phase wise exam dates. UPESMET exam is conducted in online mode for admission to MBA programme.

UPESMET exam is conducted by University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun. The exam is coducted at University level. Candidates seeking admission to MBA programme offered by UPES School of Business will be exempted from taking UPESMET if they have valid score in other national level MBA entrance exams. UPES conducts UPESMET exam in online mode. 

For admission to MBA programme of UPES Business School, candidates must:

UPESMET exam date for each phase is announced by UPES on the official website. The examination is held in multiple phases every year. Candidates can apply for the UPESMET exam as per the phase wise cutoff dates. The exam is held online protcored mode. Candidates having valid score in CAT, XAT, CMAT or any other national level entrance exam will be exempted from taking UPESMET exam. The exam is usually conducted every saturday.

The full form for UPESMET UG is UPES Management Entrance Test for Under Graduation. It is an management entrance test conducted by University of Petroleum and Energy Studies for admission to BBA programe of UPES School of Business. Candidates seeking admision to undergraduate programe of UPES must appear for the entrance exam. Candidates having valid score in national level management entrance exams like UGAT will be exemted from taking the UPESMET UG exam. Candidates will be required to fill the application form to be eligible for appearing in group discussion and personal interview rounds. UPESMET UG is conducted in multiple sessions in a year. Candidates can chose the date of examination as per their convenience.

No, it is not compulsory for candidates to complete UPESMET application form in one go. Candidates can complete UPESMET 2025 online form in multiple sittings. However, candidates must make sure to save details everytime before closing tab so that they can resume from where they left. Applicants must complete the UPESMET 2026 application form before the last date and read the instructions carefully for successful registration.

No, UPESMET application fee cannot be paid in offline mode. The UPESMET registration process is completely online. Candidates will be required to pay the UPESMET application fee in online mode through any of the following mediums:

• Debit Card OR
• UPI/ Paytm

Upon the payment of the UPESMET application fee, the confirmation page will be generated for successful payment of the UPESMET registration fee. In case, the conformation page is not generated, candidates are advised to approach the bank/payment gateway (in the helpline number and e-mail given in the UPESMET Information Bulletin) for ensuring successful payment of the application fee and get the refund of the duplicate or multiple payments. 

UPESMET application fee is INR 1350. Candidates aspiring admission to MBA programme of UPES Business School must fill the online application form. To complete the registration process, candidates must fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria and pay the UPESMET application fee for successfull submission of application form.

Candidates willing to appear for UPESMET must ensure to fulfill the below prescribed eligibility criteria:

• Aspirants must be graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50 percent marks from a recognised University

• Aspirant must have passed Class 10th and Class 12th with a minimum 50 percent aggregate

• Candidates in final year of qualifying examination are also eligible for UPESMET provided they can present the passing certificate by the time of admissions

•  Candidates who have CMAT,  MAT,  MAT,  CAT,  NMAT by GMAC and GMAT scores of either the same or previous year, are exempted from taking the UPESMET exam 

Non-Examination Pathway for PG admission

Admission is offered based on national-level management entrance exams – CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/NMAT/GMAT followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. Up to 50 per cent of the seats are filled through the non-examination pathway category students. The minimum percentile required for entry to the non-exam pathway has been listed below:

No, UPESMET exam does not have sectional time limit to appear for the exam. However, students will be required to complete the exam in pre informed exam duration i.e, two hours/ 120 minutes and no extra time will be granted to the students under any circumstances. UPESMET is a computer-based online exam the test screen will move from first section to the next section only when the candidate clicks the next button. Candidates have to be mindful of the on-screen timer and pre-decide the number of questions to solve in each section as there will be negative markings. It is not mandatory to solve all the questions in UPESMET exam so candidates can devise a strategy to use the exam duration as per their strength and weakness. Candidates must reach the exam centre at least an hour prior to complete the frisking formalities at the UPESMET exam centre.

UPES Management Entrance Test (UPESMET) is conducted for admission to MBA programme of UPES School of Business. UPESMET question paper will consist of questions four sections viz., English,  Quantitative Aptitude,  General Awareness and Analytical Reasoning. The General English part will have questions from Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning and Verbal Ability. In the Quantitative Aptitude section, questions will be asked from Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency. The General Awareness section will have questions from General Knowledge, Current Affairs and Business Scenario. 

UPESMET exam is conducted for a duration of two hours. Candidates can appear for the UPESMET exam anytime between 10 AM to 2 PM on given date. UPESMET time will be counted as and when the candidate starts the test. No candidates will be able to access the test window beyond the mentioned timelines.

On the day of UPESMET exam, students must keep below things ready:

Candidates having valid score in any of the entrance examination score will be exempted from UPESMET exam. To appear for UPESMET cousnelling, candidates must keep following documents ready:

UPES will release the UPESMET admit card 2027 soon after the candidate book the exam slot. Registered candidates will be able to download the UPESMET 2027 admit card only after the payment of the application fee. 

UPESMET exam will be coducted in AI proctored mode. Candidates will not be required to appear at exam centre to take the entrance test. Hence, admit card for UPESMET will be issued to the candidates on their registered email ID. Only candidates who will register for UPESMET successfully, will receive the UPESMET admit card soon after the payment of application fee. To download the UPESMET admit card must:

1. Fill UPESMET application form and pay fee
2. Click on link sent on the registered email ID for UPESMET admit card
3. Save and download admit card

Candidates can download UPESMET admit card soon after the registration process. UPESMET admit card will mention the following details:

Only candidates who will register for the UPESMET exam will be able to download the admit card online when released.

If a candidate forgot UPESMET login details, admit card can by downloaded by

1. Clicking on tab Forgot Password.
2. Enter the registered email ID
3. Click on link sent on registered email ID
4. Screen will now show the tab to change passowrd; enter new password and save.
5. Save updated password for future log ins.

UPESMET result is declared soon after conduct of each session exam. Candidates can check following details on scorecard:

UPESMET results 2027 will be announced soon after exam for each phase is conducted. Candidates who will appear for exam will be able to download their scorecard online when released. The UPESMET scorecard is released at upes.ac.in. 

No, applicants will not be issued any physical copy of the UPESMET 2027 socrecard. On declaration of UPESMET results candidates must login at the official website of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (upes.ac.in) to download and take the print of the UPESMET socrecard immediately. 

No, UPES does not releases UPESMET cut off officially. However UPES has released the cutoff for candidates seeking admission to MBA programme of UPES Business School on the basis of other management entrance test scores like CAT, MAT, CMAT and more.
