CUET PG 2026 exam will be held in online mode at 302 exam centres across the nation and 24 abroad in March 2026. NTA, the exam conducting body, release the CUET PG 2026 notification in September. The CUET PG exam is conducted to offer admissions to master's degree courses, such as MA, MSc, MCom, MFA, MTech, MBA, LLB and BEd.

All the candidates who qualify for the CUET PG Exam will get the opportunity to enrol in one of the top NIRF-ranked CUET PG participating universities, such as the University of Delhi, TISS, JNU, BHU, and other institutes. To appear for the CUET PG 2026 exam, candidates need to fill out the CUET PG 2026 registration form in the first week of January 2026, tentatively by visiting the official website, ie, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG. According to the CUET PG eligibility criteria 2026, graduates and final year students, meet the minimal educational qualifications will be eligible to fill out the application form.

As per the CUET PG 2026 syllabus, the exam officials will test the applicant's domain knowledge, critical and analytical skills for the 157 courses offered. Candidates' knowledge will be tested in the form of 75 MCQ questions, and 90 minutes will be given to the test takers. After the declaration of the CUET PG 2026 result, each participating university will start the counselling process. Based on the names/marks mentioned in the university-specific CUET PG 2026 merit list, admissions will be made.

• A Central Control Room was opened to monitor and facilitate the smooth conduct of the Examination on the ground. 02 National Coordinators, 19 Regional Coordinators, 303 City Coordinators, 1083 Observers, and 162 Deputy Observers were deployed.

• Live CCTV Surveillance was planned in all examination centres to curb malpractices in the examination. The NTA also made arrangements for live viewing of remote locations of all examination centres from the Control Room located in the NTA premises of New Delhi. Recording of CCTV Systems was also done.

• The examination centres were also monitored using AI-based Video Analytics and Virtual Observers.

What is CUET PG Admission Process 2026?

The CUET PG admission process 2026 can be divided into five steps. The admission process begins with filling up the application form and ends with counselling or final admission. The steps for the CUET PG 2026 admission process are given below.

CUET PG 2026 Application Form

CUET PG registration form 2026 will start in the month of January 2026, tentatively. Students will be able to fill CUET PG registration form 2026 by visiting the official website in online mode. The first step for candidates is to fill in the basic details like name, address and contact details after registering themselves. 

Once the login credential is generated, candidates must log in with the registration credentials. Students need to fill CUET PG application form 2026 with their personal and academic details, programme and exam city preference, and upload documents. After filling in all the details in the form, candidates need to submit the CUET PG registration fee via debit/credit card, Net Banking, Paytm, and UPI online. The application fees for CUET PG 2026 is increased from last year.

CUET PG Eligibility Criteria

CUET PG Eligibility Criteria 2026 stipulates the basic requirements like age, educational qualification, nationality etc, which a candidate needs to satisfy in order to appear and get admission through the CUET PG 2026 examination. Following the NTA CUET PG 2026 information brochure, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the bachelor's degree/equivalent examination or appearing in 2026 irrespective of their age, can appear in master’s degree programmes in the Central Universities through CUET PG 2026 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria of the University to which they are desirous of taking admission.

Providing Reservation relaxation to the weaker categories of CUET PG aspirants helps them to avail themselves of the reservation, including comparatively lower application fees, cutoff marks, and course/admission fees. Indian Nationals belonging to certain categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government of India. Candidates must note that the benefit of reservation will be given to them subject to verification of documents. If it is discovered at any stage that a candidate has used a false/fake /incorrect document, or has furnished false, incorrect, or incomplete information, in order to avail the benefit of reservation, then such a candidate shall be excluded from all admission processes. In case such a candidate has already been given admission, the admission shall stand cancelled.

Q:   How many subjects can be opted in CUET PG while filling the application form?
A: 

CUET PG 2026 examination is expected to be scheduled in the month of March, 2026. Aspirants preparing for the CUET PG exam will be able to fill the online application form in the month January 2026. While filling up the CUET PG online application form, test taker can select only one subject in one slot of the examination day. However, from the previous year academic year, they were able to choose a maximum of 20 test paper codes in all.

Before choosing the multiple subjects for the examination, candidates are advised to check the minimal education eligibility criteria for the particular course candidate has applied for. Also check the university specific subject criteria for the subject a candidate wants to appear for.

Q:   How is CUET PG University Programme Selection is done while filling out the application form?
A: 

One of the important stages of filling out CUET PG 2024 application form is selection of university programme list. Candidates are advised to select their desired university and programme offered through it wisely, otherwise it may create hindrances in the CUET PG 2024 counselling process.

Step 1: After adding the exam centre city preferences, candidates will then have to select the University/Programme selection.

Step 2: In this section, candidates are required to select the university name first and then select the programme name. Likewise, candidates can select up to four universities and its allied programmes offered. After adding the university programme choices, save the details and move on to the next sections.

CUET PG Test Centres 2026

The Test Centres of CUET PG 2026 are expected to be located in 302 cities across India and abroad. As many as 24 international cities have been chosen by NTA. Candidates are needed  to select as many as two test cities while filling out the application form for CUET PG 2026 in preferential order. The application fee will also vary as per the selection of the Indian and international Test Centres of CUET PG 2026. Once the test centre is allotted in the admit card, candidates' requests to change the test city will not be entertained. However, NTA has the right to change the test centre of CUET PG 2026 depending on external factors. NTA will also release an advance city intimation slip for candidates before releasing of the admit card.

  • NTA has added two more CUET PG 2024 exam centres upon the requests received from candidates for their convenience i.e., Gurugram (Haryana) and Srinagar (Uttarakhand). Exam centres in India are now 302 which was 313 centres last year. However, the number of exam centres outside India/ overseas remained same. CUET PG 2024 exam centres outside India are 24.
  • CUET PG 2024 exam pattern for the academic session 2024-2025 has been amended. There will be only 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) about the particular course to which the candidate has applied.
  •  Exam authority has reduced the exam timing, which is now 105 minutes or 1 hour 45 minutes.
  • CUET PG 2024 application fees have increased from last year, when the fees for the general category was INR 1000, for the selection of up to three test papers. This year, the application fee has increased by INR 200, which is now INR 1200 for the general category for the selection of up to two subjects.
Q:   What are the non-permissible items at CUET-PG 2025 exam centres?

The following items or objects will not be allowed to be carried to the CUET-PG 2025 exam centres.

  1. Stationery items such as test-based material (written/printed), papers, notes, Pencil box, pouches, geometry box, pen, scale/ruler, eraser, etc.
  2. Electronic devices such as calculators, cameras, electronic pens, scanners, etc.
  3. Accessories such as bags, belts, caps, goggles, wallets, etc.
  4. Devices used for communication such as mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth, fitness bands, earphones, pager, etc.
  5. Eatables (packed or home-cooked), thermos, etc.

Candidates are advised to immediately contact the officials and the conducting body if the candidate is not able to download their CUET-PG 2025 admit cards. The CUET PG intimation slip is the precursor to the admit card. In this document, candidates will only be intimated about the city where their CUET PG 2025 exam centre has been allotted. CUET PG Answer key 2026

CUET PG 2026 Answer Key will be released by NTA in the fourth week of April 2026, tentatively. At first, the exam officials will release the CUET PG 2026 provisional answer key. This answer key is subject to raised objections by the candidates in the stipulated time mentioned by the NTA. The fee to submit an objection against each answer key was INR 200. An expert committee set by the exam conducting body will evaluate the answers/ objections raised by the CUET PG 2026 test takers.

Q:   Can Test takers raise objection against CUET PG answer key?

Yes, test takers of CUET PG examination will get the oppurtunity to raise objection against the CUET PG provisional answer key. NTA, national testing agency has released the CUET PG 2023 provisional answer key on July13, 2023 on the official webiste of CUET PG 2023.

The provisional answer key is released for all the subjects for which the CUET PG 2023 examination was conducted. Test-takers can visit the official website of CUET PG and login to their accounts using the username and password to see the Provisional answer key and CUET PG 2023 candidate's response sheet.

The start date of raising the objection against the provisional answer key CUET PG was July 13, 2023 and the last date to do the same was July 15, 2023, till 11:00 pm. The last day to pay the online fee payment was July 15, 2023 till 11:00 PM.

CUET PG Result 2026

CUET PG Results 2026 will be released in the first week of May 2026, tentatively. The results will be released online in the form of CUET PG 2026 scorecards. The NTA Score of CUET PG 2026 will be valid for admission to the academic year 2026-27 only.  The CUET PG 2026 result carries information such as candidates’ personal details, section-wise and overall scores, and percentiles. The results will be declared in the form of a scorecard which had to be downloaded in PDF format.

Scores and candidate data will be shared with the University where he/she has applied. The Score Card will contain marks awarded in the domain of subject knowledge for each course. The university can draw the merit list based on the total score or only on the score achieved in Part I of the Domain Knowledge Section.
