Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has opened its postgraduate admissions for the academic year 2025–26. Admissions are being conducted through CUET PG, GAT-B, and CCMT scores, covering a wide range of master's programs including MA, MSc, MCA, and Advanced Diplomas.

The online application process is active and will remain open until June 16, 2025, at 11:50 PM. Candidates must use their CUET PG application number and date of birth to log into the JNU admission portal. A correction window will be available from June 17 to June 18, 2025, for any modifications in the submitted application.

CUET PG 2025: For MA, MSc, MCA, MPH, MTech (excluding Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering), PG Diploma, and Advanced Diploma of Proficiency (ADOP) programs.

GAT-B: For MSc in Biotechnology and MSc in Computational Biology.

CCMT: For MTech in Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering, based on GATE scores.

The university has planned the release of its merit lists in phases. The first list is expected on June 27, followed by the second on July 5 and the third on July 14. Admissions and registration for selected candidates will close on August 14. Document verification will be held physically in multiple phases: July 21–25, July 28–29, and August 13–14. A final round for vacant seats is expected on August 8.

JNU offers deprivation points as part of its admission process. These benefit candidates from Quartile 1 or 2 districts, Kashmiri migrants, and female or transgender candidates, boosting their admission prospects.

Q:   Can I get BTech admission at JNU through CUET?

JNU Delhi does not accept the Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) for admission to the BTech courses. To be eligible for JNU BTech admission, candidates must have a valid JEE Main score. The final selection is based on JoSAA counselling process. The JoSAA counselling is usually held in the month of September. This year, there will be six rounds of seat allotment.

Jawaharlal Nehru University accepts CUET-UG and CUET-PG entrance test scores for admission to several undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate and PG Diploma courses. The University also accepts a few national-level entrance exam scores for admission to courses such as BTech, MBA, etc. For admission to BA (Hons.) in Foreign Languages, BSc-MSc Integrated programme in Ayurveda Biology and Certificate of Proficiency courses, JNU accepts CUET-UG scores. 

  • The registration window for CUET UG for Jawaharlal Nehru University admission UG courses usually open by February. Further, the CUET UG is held between May and June.
