The National Testing Agency is conducting Common University Entrance Test for admission to undergraduate and some integrated courses at participating central, state, private, government, or deemed universities/colleges. Q:   When will be CUET UG exam conducted?
A: 

CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in May/June for 37 subjects. The mode of examination is CBT (Computer Based Test). NTA did not release official notification for CUET UG date sheet. Candidates can know exam details through CUET UG information bulletin. NTA will conduct CUET UG 2026 exam in multiple phases depending upon the number of candidates registering for the exam. Registered candidates can know the exact CUET UG exam on hall ticket. Candidates will have to report at the alloted exam centre on the day of the examination. The exam will be held in two slots each day depending upon the subject combinations chosen by the candidate.

Q:   Has CUET UG date sheet been released?
A: 

CUET UG 2026 datesheet is released soon after the registration process is over. Candidates can check their CUET 2026 exam schedule on their intimation slip or admit card also. CUET UG 2026 exam will be held in CBT mode. Last year, NTA did not release the official CUET examination schedule, however, candidates can check the schedule for applied subjects on their admit cards, when released. Yes, CUET UG 2026 official syllabus has been released. NTA uploaded the CUET 2026 syllabus PDFs online at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates preparing for CUET 2026 exam can download the CUET syllabus. The CUET syllabus is based on class 12th NCERT curriculum. Candidates must prepare well from the class 12th syllabus to ace the entrance examination.

Q:   When should I register for CUET UG?
A: 

NTA will commence CUET registrations 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in tentatively in first week of March. Candidates can fill online CUET application form online on official website when released. CUET UG 2026 Reporting Time

Candidates are advised to reach their allotted CUET exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam. The National Testing Agency also officially specifies the reporting time and gate closing time on a candidate's admit card. According to last year, the reporting time for morning shift is 7 AM and for evening shift is 1 PM. All examination centres close their entry gate 30 minutes before the exam time.

To avoid the last-minute rush and hassle, candidates should reach the centre according to reporting time as they have to get their frisking and other formalities done before exam starts and these things may take time.

Q:   Is CUET exam registration open?
A: 

No, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2027 registrations have not commenced yet. The registration window will be active at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the CUET 2027 notification in first week of January. Soon after the release of the CUET official notification, the CUET registration 2027 process will commence online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2027 exam must complete the application form online. Additionally, before filling application form, candidates must make sure that they have fulfilled the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam.

Q:   What is CUET UG exam slot and timing?
A: 

CUET 2026 exam was held in two slots. first slot was held between 9 AM to 12 PM and second slot was held between 3 PM to 6 PM. Candidates could check the exact subject-ise timings on their admit card.

As per CUET exam pattern, the subjects are divided into three sections as:

Q:   When should I reach the CUET exam centre?
A: 

Candidates must reach alloted CUET exam centre two hours before mentioned exam time. Candidates must complete verification process and take their seats immediately after the opening of examination hall. If the candidates does not report at alloted CUET exam centre on time due to traffic, delay in transport, important instructions to appear for the exam can be missed.

Q:   When will CUET DU CSAS portal open?
A: 

DU CSAS portal 2026 will be actiavted at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. University of Delhi launchs CSAS portal 2026 in June. Candidates who will appear for the CUET 2026 exam can register at DU CSAS 2026 portal. Candidates will be required to enter the college and course preference and pay the DU CSAS registration 2026 fee to participate in the admission process. On the basis of the choices entered and CUET 2025 percentile, candidates will be alloted college and course. CUET 2026 result will be declared in first week of July 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in.

If NTA releases a separate PDF for CUET UG datesheet, then CUET city intimation slip will be released, including exam centre details, slot and timings, exam date and so on. If the date sheet is released in city slip only, then NTA will issue CUET admit card after city slip release.

Is it Necessary to take the CUET City Slip to Exam Hall?

No, candidates are not required to take CUET city intimation slip with them to the examination hall. The city slip is released for candidates to make travel and stay arrangements, in case their exam centre is in another city. It also serves as an acceptance of a candidate's application. NTA is expected to soon release city slip on official website.

Q:   What is the structure of CUET UG Science examination?
A: 

CUET UG exam structure for Science examination is similar to other streams subject. NTA prescribes the common exam pattern for CUET subjects. As per the notification, each CUET subject will follow below structure:

  • Number of questions: 50 Multiple Choice Questions
  • Optional questions: Not provided
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Marking for correct answer: 5 marks
  • Negative marking: -1 mark
Q:   What is the dress code for CUET UG?
A: 

To appear for CUET UG exam, candidates must make sue to follow the below mentioned dress code:

  • Candidates must not wear long sleeve clothes.
  • Candidates wearing cultural/customary dress must report at the CUET exam centre one hour before the reporting time. 
  • Candidates must wear slippers or sandals with low heels. Shoes will not be permitted inside exam centre.
  • In case of any circumstances, candidates must take the approval of NTA before the release of CUET admit card.
Q:   How can I check my CUET exam centre?
A: 

Candidates can check the CUET 2026 allotted exam centre upon release of CUET intimation slip and CUET admit card. Only candidates who will fill the CUET application form along with the successful application fee payment will be able to download the intimation slip for CUET exam. The name of exam centre will be mentioned on the intimation alip in advance to help candidates make preparations accordingly. The CUET 2026 admit card is expected to release three to four days prior to the day of examination in online mode. Candidates will be able to check the following details on the release of CUET 2026 admit card:

Documents to Carry at CUET Exam Centre 2026

Registered candidates appearing for the CUET 2026 exam will have to bring some important documents. According to the National Testing Agency, the following are the required documents, a candidate must carry to the CUET 2026 exam centre:

1. CUET 2026 Admit Card (soft copy is not allowed)

2. Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website (hard copy on A4 size paper)

3. Passport-size photograph (same as one uploaded on the application form)

4. Any of the following authorized photo IDs:

  • School Identity Card
  • PAN Card
  • Passport
  • Aadhaar Card/E-Aadhaar (with photograph)
  • Class 12 Board Admit Card (with photograph)
  • Bank Passbook (with photograph)

5. PwD/PwDB certificate (if claiming)

CUET UG 2026 Exam - Important Guidelines

Even if a candidate prepares well for the exam, his/her hard work can go to waste if they do not follow the exam day guidelines set by the National Testing Agency. Students have to follow the below important CUET 2026 exam day guidelines:

  • Candidates must arrive at CUET exam centre 90 minutes before the exam starts.
  • Candidates must cooperate with the authorities during the frisking process.
  • No entry will be given to candidates who arrive after the gate closing time. So, leave early to avoid traffic.
  • Candidates must take their assigned seats only.
  • Verify that the question paper matches the subject you have opted for. If it is different, report it to the invigilator.
  • Carry a printed admit card and a valid photo ID (original and non-expired). 
  • NTA will not reschedule the exam for any candidate who misses the test. So, reach the exam centre before the closing of the gates.
  • Do not bring prohibited items.
  • Carry a transparent bottle and a ballpoint pen.

Note: Perform all calculations and writing tasks on the rough sheets provided in the examination hall and return the rough sheets to the invigilator before leaving the room to ensure compliance with the rules.

CUET UG 2026: Prohibited Items on Exam Day

Certain items are not allowed at CUET exam centre. Candidates must check below to know what is prohibited to avoid taking them to the examination hall:

  • Stationery items, including test-based material (written/printed), papers, notes, Pencil box, pouches, geometry box, pen, scale/ruler, eraser, etc.
  • Electronic devices such as calculators, cameras, electronic pens, scanners, etc.
  • Accessories such as bags, belts, caps, goggles, wallets, etc.
  • Communication devices such as mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth, fitness bands, earphones, pagers, etc.
  • Eatables (packed or home-cooked), thermos, etc.

Students must follow the below CUET dress code to appear for the exam:

  • Heavy clothes with long sleeves are not allowed.
