MP BE Counselling 2026: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Madhya Pradesh, has started the second phase MP BE 2026 counselling. Interested candidates can apply for the counselling between up to July 18 and complete choice filling between July 16 to 22, 2026. The merit list will be released on July 23 and seat allotment on July 27, 2026. Candidates have to register online using the direct link provided in this page or the website - dte.mponline.gov.in. The complete schedule of MP BE 2026 counselling process can be checked here.

The MP BTech 2026 round 1 seat allotment result was announced on July 3. Candidates can check their seat allotment status by login to the MP BE admission portal. Candidates who have been allotted seats in round 1 had to report to the allotted institute by July 7, 2026. The seat allotment results for candidates who opted for upgradation option was announced on July 11.

What is MP BE Counselling?

MP BE Counselling is the BTech admission process in Madhya Pradesh which is organised by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). Admission is offered in the first year of BE/BTech course in the Government / Autonomous / Aided / Self-Financing / Private Institutions located in Madhya Pradesh. The candidates are offered admission based on JEE Main and qualifying exam (class 12). Candidates need to fill in their choices of branches and colleges during the counselling. DTE prepares a merit list for the candidates and based on the MP BE merit list, candidates are allotted seats.

MP BE Counselling Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates can check here the eligibility to participate in MP BE counselling 2026. Every candidate applying for the counselling must ensure they fulfill the eligibility conditions for MP BTech admission.

Nationality	Aspirants should be an Indian National
Entrance Exam	Aspirants must have cleared the JEE Main to be eligible to apply
Academic qualification	Passed class 12 exam with Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/ Biology /Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship. In addition to the above, Candidates who have passed the 12th examination of the 10+2 scheme in the Agriculture stream (with three main agriculture stream subjects) are also eligible for admission only in the Agriculture Engineering Branch. Obtained at least 45% marks in the required three main subjects (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category of Madhya Pradesh).
Domicile	Aspirants must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh. Candidates from other states can apply for All India quota seats.

MP BE Counselling Process 2026

Madhya Pradesh BTech admission process includes six stages mentioned here

Registration: Candidates have to first register online on the DTE MP website by providing basic details like name, date of birth, address for communication, parents name, category and education. Post registration, a detailed MP BE Counselling application forms has to be filled.
Choice filling: After MP BE 2026 counselling registration and form filling, candidates have to fill choices of colleges and courses in which admission is desired. The candidates must fill choices carefully, in order of preference of course and colleges.
Declaration of Merit list: The authority will release a merit list of MP BE Counsellings 2026 for all registered candidates. Based on the ranks of the candidates in the MP BE merit list, the seat allotment will be done.
Announcement of seat allotment result: There will be two rounds of seat allotment through JEE Mains. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank in the merit list. After seat allotment, candidates have to download their seat allotment letter and confirm the seat online.
Verification of documents: After the issuance of the seat allotment letter, verification of documents will be conducted by the authority.
Reporting to the allotted institute: After verification, candidates have to report to the allotted institute for final admission. Candidates must report to the institute within the timeline.

MP BE 2026 Counselling Registration

The registration for MP BE phase 2 counselling 2026 started on July 11. The last date to apply for counselling is July 18. The steps for MP BE 2026 counselling registration are given below:

Register with JEE Main roll number: Candidates seeking admission have to register using the roll number allotted in the JEE Main 2026 examination if applying through NTA JEE. On registering with roll number, the data provided by NTA, such as the name of the candidate, father/mother's name, date of birth, etc., will automatically be displayed on the registration screen, the remaining required information can be filled in by the candidate. Candidates have to enter them manually, the information entered must be as per the documents. MP BE counselling registration is free (except for NRI, IPS, PIO/FN/CIWGC and CLC). Candidates who have not appeared in JEE Main can apply through class 12 marks for MP BE 2026 counselling.
Registration Through Class 12 Marks: Those candidates applying through cass 12 marks have to register using their percentage in the class 12. The allotment will be done basis choices and merit position.
Online e-Verification: The details provided in the registration process will be verified. If all details are found correct, candidates will receive the registration cum e-verification slip. Candidates can get the status of their verification from the "Check Candidate Status" link.
Password generation: As soon as the registration process and the e-verification are complete, a temporary password will be received on the given mobile number, which should be changed at the time of choice filling, keep it safe and do not tell it to anyone.

Note: Candidates who are not allotted seats in round 1 will not have to register again to participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling. The first round counselling registration was open from June 2 to 24, 2026.

MP BE Counselling Choice Filling 2026

After receiving the registration cum e-verification slip, the candidates can select their choice of courses and institutions in order of preference. The MP BE choice filling for round 2 counselling will start on July 16. The choice must be finalised and locked by the candidates before July 22, 2026.

To submit the choices, candidates have to pay counselling fee, partial tuition fee, and portal fee. Candidates can select all the available institutions/courses online in order of priority. Candidates can change the priority order selected any number of times before paying the prescribed fee.

MP BE Counselling Merit List 2026

DoTE has published the phase 1 MP BE counselling general merit list 2026. The MP BE 2026 counselling merit list can be checked online on the official website and from the table below. Based on the merit list, candidates are allotted seats in the MP BE counselling participating colleges. Merit list for round 2 will be released on July 23, 2026.

MP BE 2026 Counselling Seat Allotment

The second round seat allotment result will be announced on July 27, 2026. The first round MP BE counselling seat allotment 2026 was announced on July 3. The result of seat allotment has been published online on the official website of the authority. Candidates have to login to the website to check Madhya Pradesh BTech admission seat allotment. Candidates who are allotted seats have to confirm their admission online by paying seat acceptance fees. Post confirmation of admission, they have to report to the allotted institute with all documents in original and xerox.
