Candidates seeking admission at IIT BHU are required to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam. IIT Varanasi BTech admission is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Students qualify Class 12 from the recognised board with 75% marks for general category and 65% marks for SC/ ST. PwD candidates.
In order to get admission into BTech programme of IIT (BHU), a candidate should have passed Class12 with a minimum of 75 percent in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They have to as well pass the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams. Selection and JoSAA counselling is done by JEE Advanced rank. Counselling is only an option to those who meet all the criteria.
IIT BHU does provide combined programmes of BTech and M.Tech in many specialisation. These programmes enable the students to pursue both their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in a combined format. IIT BHU MTech Admissions 2025
Indian Institute of TechnologyBHU offers a two-year MTech programme, which is spread across four semesters. As part of the admission procedure, the prospective candidates must also take a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). However, BTech qualified in IITs with an overall CGPA of 8.00 or above in 10 point scale are exempted with regard to the GATE and are directly eligible to the process.
